China’s Risky Business Crackdown

Raghuram Rajan argues that China faces enormous obstacles in reducing strategic vulnerabilities associated with its dependence on exports to other countries and rebalancing its economy in favor of expanding its domestic marketplace. He maintains that in order for domestic consumption to increase, China must depart from its long-established model of repressing the wages of workers. Furthermore, Rajan explains that the Chinese government's attempts to apply more central control over the private sector and target rich entrepreneurs for criminal prosecution will deter individuals from taking risks and spurring innovation.

Friday, Oct. 1, I had lunch with a very dear friend and fellow memo reader. He was a former executive of a major company, quite conservative, very astute. The next day Lynn and I discussed what I had talked about the previous day.
My friend fears Trump will run for the president in 2024 and lose. I understand his concerns and have already stated I would prefer a De Santis and Pompeo ticket. My friend also offered another reason why he did not want Trump to run. Though he acknowledged, Trump was the right man at the right time, his second reason, which I never thought about, is Trump was surrounded by a cadre of qualified people however, too self centered and incapable of building a cadre of future prospective presidential nominees.
As for Lynn, she asked how did over 10,000 illegal immigrants, all of a sudden, disappear and no one reports it and/or took pictures etc.? Then she mentioned one of our son-in-law's works for a company that has facilities in over 30 states and are concerned how they are going to comply with Biden's Covid Mandates. Justice Sotomayor rejected the request SCOTUS hear the Mandate Covid Case presumably because it was a state matter.
Both have raised important issues because our Republic, and the freedoms we historically have lived by, are under serious attack. The expansion of government , if allowed, will crush the rights of "we the people" in addition to the fact that enormous spending will ultimately bankrupt the nation.
The mass media have completely abdicated their ombudsman role and radicals, who have been seeking and planning the destruction of our nation, are winning. As Prager portrayed in a previously posted video, no one seems to care.
While America sleeps the Trojan Horses filled with radicals continue their advance.

The Mailchimp System I use to send out memos employ a company which changed their software method allowing me to post videos. They are aware of the fact they messed up and are trying to correct.. Last week, after the House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved the supplemental spending bill for the Iron Dome program, everyone from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to the Biden White House, to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, quickly proclaimed bipartisan support in Washington for the US-Israel alliance is as strong as it ever was. Unfortunately, even before the bill passed, it was clear that the opposite was the case.
Eight House members from the leftist edge of the political spectrum voted against the Iron Dome funding and two of their comrades voted “present.”
