I wrote this as a "roast" for my parent's 50th anniversary.
Lynn and I hosted a small special diner for them in Atlanta in 1983 and invited just a few couples. It was held at, what was then, a very fine restaurant called Escofier and the chef prepared a special meal.
Around that time Dean Martin had a very popular show at which he and a group of his friends would "roast" one of their contemporaries.
For those who do not know my folks you might not understand the satire but I did my best to rise to the occasion. Me .
