If Hungary can do it, if Israel can do it, why can't America?
‘They Don’t Even TRY’: Hungary’s New Border Fence Called a ‘Spectacular Success.'
by Jenn Carter
Skeptics who believe a border wall will not stop illegals from entering the United States may want to look at what’s happening in Hungary.
On the day its border fence was completed, the influx of illegals entering Hungary went down from 6,353 per day to 870 the next. For the remainder of that month, illegal border crossings were steadily below 40 per day, officials said.
“They don’t even try,” a local border guard told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “We haven’t had a single Muslim migrant in six months.”
Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s pledge to stop illegals from flowing into the country appears to be a spectacular success.
Hungary’s 96-mile long, 14-foot tall double-line fence includes several layers of razor-wire capable of delivering electric shocks. The barrier features cameras, heat sensors and loudspeakers ready to tell migrants they’re about to break
Hungarian law if they as much as touch the fence, the DC report said. Nearly every police officer in Hungary is part of a rotation to monitor the border fence at all times. Temporary military bases house the police while they do their rotation.
Additionally, Hungary will train and pay more than 1,000 volunteers to deploy as “border hunters”. Illegals who are caught are arrested and dropped off on the Serbian side of the fence. They don’t get a chance to apply for asylum unless they do so at a “transit zone” where they are held in housing containers while their cases get processed, the report said.
In September 2016, thousands of migrants streamed across the border every day as they made their way north to Austria, Germany and Scandinavia.
“It was an invasion,” Laszlo Toroczkai, the mayor of Asotthalom, told the Daily Caller. “Illegal immigration is a crime in a normal country. It’s not a normal thing to break into a country.”
“By mid-year it waswell beyond 100,000 people who came across,” said Zoltan Kovacs, a spokesman for the Hungarian government. “You should at least have the ability to handle what’s going on.”
Kovacs added: “You might not like it, it’s not a nice thing, but … the only way to stop illegal border crossings is [to] first build a fence, man it, equip it, and also, in parallel, build up your capabilities in terms of legal confines, legal circumstances to be able to handle what is coming.”
It’s no surprise the mainstream U.S. media refuses to report this story to the American public. Can you imagine how support for a Southern border wall would spike?

Rep. Ilhan Omar from Minnesota poses an interesting case study in American cultural or civilizational consciousness. She is the first congressional representative to wear a scarf around her head, and that scarf is for some a symbol of the breadth and depth of our acceptance of others. For others, it is a symbol of alienation and rejection of the America she claims — simply by holding office — to represent. To those who see her this way, the hijab or head covering is seen as a hostileschmata (rag) whereby she is not merely carrying on one of her subculture's customs, but, in essence, giving the finger to the country she now would participate in governing.

Disturbing Child-Murder Fantasy Tied to Beto O'Rourke
By AAN Staff
A report from Reuters has unearthed disturbing writings, and other skeletons, from former Texas Congressman Beto O'Rourke's past.
The Daily Wire's Ryan Saavedra has more:
The upsetting anecdote is merely the latest story about O'Rourke that focuses on driving.
O'Rourke hit another vehicle then fled the scene while driving drunk on his 26th birthday. O'Rourke claimed he had only two beers, but the Washington Post estimated, based on his weight and blood alcohol content that he had six.
The Daily Wire's Ryan Saavedra has more:
In a profile that also documented O'Rourke's involvement in a hacker group, Reuters reported: "it’s unclear whether the United States is ready for a presidential contender who, as a teenager, stole long-distance phone service for his dial-up modem, wrote a murder fantasy in which the narrator drives over children on the street, and mused about a society without money."
...
O'Rourke also reportedly wrote about murdering children by running them over with a car.
"One day, as I was driving home from work, I noticed two children crossing the street," O'Rourke wrote. "They were happy, happy to be free from their troubles ...This happiness was mine by right. I had earned it in my dreams."
"As I neared the young ones, I put all my weight on my right foot, keeping the accelerator pedal on the floor until I heard the crashing of the two children on the hood, and then the sharp cry of pain from one of the two," O'Rourke continued. "I was so fascinated for a moment, that when after I had stopped my vehicle, I just sat in a daze, sweet visions filling my head."
The upsetting anecdote is merely the latest story about O'Rourke that focuses on driving.

We Cannot Bury Our Heads in the Sand about Ilhan Omar
To those who admire her motivation and political know-how, the headscarf adds to the attraction of her looking frail and vulnerable. Looking frail and vulnerable, yet being a political high achiever, she seems to fit the rags-to-riches mythology of our culture. Those who are attracted by this transition into the halls of power may not see her hijab as a mere headscarf or as a rag. To them, this headgear is a crown dignifying her claim to power. Is she a stinking terrorist in sheep's clothing? Or is she just a little know-nothing from a nowhere country elected by a bizarre and backward district in Minnesota? Or does she express the promise of America to give leadership and success to those for whom it has been blocked, sometimes, for centuries?
Anyone from anywhere can make his home here. Even more than make a home, all persons can participate in the governance of this country. Was that not true of the Germans, the Scandinavians, the Irish, the Italians, the West Indians, the Greeks, the Eastern Europeans? So, rather than being seen as a threat, many see Rep. Omar as a victory of American culture over the inherent divisiveness of a hate-filled world.
However, her many anti-Semitic comments since she has taken office intensify the debate. She talks about the Jewish power through "Benjamins" ($100 bill pictures of Ben Franklin), about AIPAC buying illegitimate influence, and about Jewish dual loyalty to Israel as well as the USA (with no mention of her possible triple loyalty to the USA; Somalia; and Islam, which is as much a political as a religious system). Her defenders, like Speaker Nancy Pelosi, say these comments are reflections of mere rhetorical inexperience, and not of deep-seated anti-Semitism. Does she not know that the USA was the first country to recognize the existence of Israel as a nation-state? Does she not know that when Jews were disparaged and worse in Europe, they found a haven in these United States going back to the 17th century because freedom of conscience was so valued? Acceptance of Jewish people is not just a matter of current events, but part of the foundation of liberty in this country.
In effect, then, her comments blew her cover. She cannot simply be seen as a highly motivated immigrant who has made her way to one of the higher offices in the land, someone who is simply living out the Horatio Alger ideal of rags to riches in America. She has revealed herself as someone with an agenda, an agenda where she is willing to attack the community most in favor of Islamic immigration and the diversity she seems to represent.
Not only is she filled with intolerable hatred, but she is a kind of Trojan horse. The appearance of vulnerability belies monstrous problems. Is she just a poor, misguided foreign-born child? No way. Rather, her presence as a welcome dispossessed minority runs parallel to a story by that great writer, Isaac Bashevis Singer, "The Gentleman From Cracow."
One day, a young Jewish doctor moved from Cracow to the impoverished Jewish village of Frampol. He is welcomed and perceived as a special asset to the town. Not only is he wealthy and generous, but at one point in time, surrounded by his opulence, he declares to the villagers, "The Ruler of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel knows of your miseries, and he has sent me to be your benefactor. But there is one condition. Tonight, every virgin must marry. I will provide a dowry of ten thousand ducats for each maiden, as well as a string of pearls down to her knees." The people are amazed by this offer and scurry to meet his demands. The rich man agrees even to marry Hodle, the degraded town slut. One old man, seeing how degraded the process was becoming, with the now betrothed young virgins lifting their skirts to catch his gold coins, called out, "Woe to us, woe to us, Jews! A fire is upon us, burning, Jews, Satan's fire. Save your souls, Jews. Flee, before it is too late!" But the townspeople, thrilled by the sudden dispensation of wealth, gagged the old man. The rich young doctor revealed his true identity: "He was none other than Ketev Mriri, Chief of the Devils." At that point, the entire underworld seemed to burst forth, as Singer narrates: "[w]itches, werewolves, imps, demons, and hobgoblins plummeted from the sky, some on brooms, others on hoops, still others on spiders. Osnath, the daughter of Machlath, her fiery hair loosened in the wind, her breasts bare and thighs exposed, leaped from chimney to chimney, and skated along the eaves." The gagged old man, clutching his head, died.
Omar, along with Rashida Tlaib, and some other Dem fellow travelers who are delighted to see "diversity" in Congress, are human doors leadings to untold diabolical strategies. We must remain vigilant as the danger of further militant Islamic encroachment in our government grows. We cannot forget that there have already been multiple murderous attacks on innocents in our beloved USA by militant Islamists, who, like Omar, hate Jews and Israel. In other words, the voices against her are not sufficiently condemnatory, whether those congressional voices be Jewish or non-Jewish. Excluding her from the House would be an optimal response, but research into this option indicates to this writer that this is not feasible. Thus, while removing her from the House Foreign Relations Committee would be a weak and insufficient action, it is the strongest possible action that can be taken to demonstrate that as a country, we are resolute against the thinking and speech she has exhibited.
Additionally, major Jewish organizations should do what the Left would do if it were belittled in the same way as Omar has denigrated Jews. They should picket the offices of Nancy Pelosi and Ilhan Omar. Signs should read "Jew-haters resign" or "America is not a land of hate." At the same time, the picketers should be chanting, "It's not too late to stop the hate!" Let's start seeing this on the evening news.

Observation: Only "Quiet For Quiet" Prevented IDF From Destroying Main Rocket Factory In Gaza |
By Dr. Aaron Lerner "In addition, the main production site in the Gaza Strip for standard rocket weapons was attacked. This is an underground site with the ability to manufacture rockets in the Gaza Strip. " IDF Spokesperson's announcement 15 March 2019 This is what we know: #1. There was no loss of life as a result of the attack. #2. There are no reports that any civilian building of significance (hospitals, mosques, schools, etc.) were damaged in the attack. So we can reasonably conclude that concern over physical collateral damage did not deter Israel from attacking the main production site in the Gaza Strip for standard rocket weapons until now. Israel's decision to ignore, until today, the existence and continuing operation of the main production site in the Gaza Strip for standard rocket weapons instead was simply a matter of honoring "quiet for quiet". The two rockets fired last night at the Tel Aviv area was deemed to be a significant enough "noise" to justify the IDF making the "noise" of attacking the site. Suffice it to say that within the framework of "quiet for quiet" the main production site in the Gaza Strip for standard rocket weapons can be rebuilt and go back into production without any interference by Israel. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 5) Waging War Against the Dead
By Victor Davis Hanson
The 21st century is in danger of becoming an era of statue smashing and historical erasure. Not since the iconoclasts of the Byzantine Empire or the epidemic of statue destruction during the French Revolution has the world seen anything like the current war on the past.
In 2001, the primeval Taliban blew up two ancient Buddha statues in Afghanistan on grounds that their very existence was sacrilegious to Islam.
In 2015, ISIS militants entered a museum in Mosul, Iraq, and destroyed ancient, pre-Islamic statues and idols. Their mute crime? These artifacts predated the prophet Muhammad.
The West prides itself in the idea that liberal societies would never descend into such nihilism. Think again.
In the last two years there has been a rash of statue toppling throughout the American South, aimed at wiping out memorialization of Confederate heroes. The pretense is that the Civil War can only be regarded as tragic in terms of the present oppression of the descendants of Southern slaves --154 years after the extinction of the Confederate states.
There is also a renewed crusade to erase the memory of Italian explorer Christopher Columbus. Los Angeles removed a Columbus statue in November based on the premise that his 1492 discovery of the Americas began a disastrous genocide in the Western Hemisphere.
Last month, the Northern California town of Arcata did away with a statue of former president William McKinley because he supposedly pushed policies detrimental to Native Americans.
There have been some unfortunate lessons from such vendettas against the images and names of the past.
One, such attacks usually revealed a lack of confidence. The general insecurity of the present could supposedly be remedied by destroying mute statutes or the legacies of the dead, who could offer no rebuttal.
The subtext of most current name changing and icon toppling is that particular victimized groups blame their current plight on the past. They assume that by destroying long-dead supposed enemies, they will be liberated -- or at least feel better in the present.
Yet knocking down images of Columbus will not change the fact that millions of indigenous people in Central America and Mexico are currently abandoning their ancestral homelands and emigrating northward to quite different landscapes that reflect European and American traditions and political, economic and cultural values.
Two, opportunism, not logic, always seems to determine the targets of destruction.
This remains true today. If mass slaughter in the past offered a reason to obliterate remembrance of the guilty, then certainly sports teams should drop brand names such as "Aztecs." Likewise, communities should topple statues honoring various Aztec gods, including the one in my own hometown: Selma, Calif.
After all, the Aztec Empire annually butchered thousands of innocent women and children captives on the altars of their hungry gods. The Aztecs were certainly far crueler conquerors, imperialists and colonialists than was former President McKinley. Yet apparently the Aztecs, as indigenous peoples, earn a pass on the systematic mass murder of their enslaved indigenous subjects.
Stanford University has changed the name of two buildings and a mall that had been named for Father Junipero Serra, the heroic 18th century Spanish founder of the California missions. Serra was reputed to be unkind to the indigenous people whom he sought to convert to Christianity.
Stanford students and faculty could have found a much easier target in their war against the dead: the eponymous founder of their university, Leland Stanford himself. Stanford was a 19th century railroad robber baron who brutally imported and exploited Asian labor and was explicit in his low regard for non-white peoples.
Yet it is one thing to virtue-signal by renaming a building and quite another for progressive students to rebrand their university -- and thereby lose the prestigious Stanford trademark that is seen as their gateway to career advancement.
Third, in the past there usually has been a cowardly element to historical erasure. Destruction was often done at night by roving vandals, or was sanctioned by extremist groups who bullied objectors.
So too in the present. Many Confederate statues were torn down or defaced at night. City councils voted to change names or remove icons after being bullied by small pressure groups and media hysteria. They rarely referred the issue to referenda.
Four, ignorance both accompanies and explains the arrogance of historical erasure, past and present.
Recently, vandals in North Carolina set fire to a statue of General Lee. But they got the wrong Lee. Their target was not a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee, but a statue of World War II Maj. Gen. William C. Lee, who campaigned for the creation of a U.S. Army airborne division and helped plan the invasion of Normandy.
The past is not a melodrama but more often a tragedy. Destroying history will not make you feel good about the present. Studying and learning from it might.
