Senile Joe didn't make the decision to veto UN cease fire proposal. Senile Joe doesn't make decisions for much of anything other than shuffling out to the helicopter which ferries him back and forth between his home in Delaware and the White House.

Senile Joe is not running the country

the consensus is (and to be sure there are many bad actors involved) that that guy with three islamic names has his hands on the steering wheel in dc. that would (could) indicate that israel is not on solid ground concerning future support from america, and the fact that the majority of american jews vote for the evildoers supports that position as well.

Israel will outlast us. We’re utterly doomed.

A coworker who does contract engineering told me a longtime recruiter stated that he has never in 30 years seen demand for engineers this low.

I floated my resume and have gotten no bites. A year ago I was inundated.

Bidens now winning in the battle to end this nation as we know it.

Prior to the FED in this Country. When money was needed for the Economy to recover. The Federal Government would seek help from the super wealthy in this Country. There are super wealthy Jewish in this Country which would be able to assist Israel in this time of need or at least till Trump is re-elected!

Not a surprise that the Democrats are reverting back to their SS St Louis days when FDR sent them back to Germany, where 95% of them died in camps.

Brigitte Goldstein 2 days ago

Your percentage on that is a bit off. One shouldn't use hyperbole to get an otherwise valid point across. FDR didn't send them back to Germany. He just let them languish on the high sea. So did Canada. Here's a paste from the Holocaust Encyclopedia:

Great Britain, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands each admitted a percentage of the passengers upon their return to Europe in June 1939. Many passengers were able to obtain immigration visas and leave for the United States before the German invasion of western Europe in May 1940, but 254 passengers were killed in the Holocaust.

FDR indirectly. His State Department led by Cordell Hull and the vile anti-Semite Breckinridge Long (war criminal) made the decisions restricting Jewish immigration into the US.

I have been critical of GW at times because I thought he acted out of hubris and lack of knowledge but he was specific as to his views and down to earth, as in this attached video.

Dear Landings friends went to Israel to help and we made a contribution to support their endeavor and this is what they wrote back:

I would have loved to have joined them but they would need someone to take care of me so not a smart idea.

Dear Friends,

We have spoken to several of you about our trip to Israel. As you can imagine we are still making our RE entry to our lives back home. We wanted to give you an account of how your generosity was spent.

We raised $8350….thank you all for your unwavering support for Israel and the soldiers. Everyone was so astounded by your generosity.

Our friend Nachama whose husband Jason was a Lone Soldier and now a reservist stationed in the West Bank, were so excited to be able to buy the soldiers supplies. With your contributions we bought gloves, raptor scissors(?) and the fire retardant pants. As Afik ( Jason’s commander from Unit 888) said in a message to us…” They (pants) will protect us against fire, weather and give us maximum comfort and flexibility while fighting. I can’t thank you and your friends enough….”.

We are friends with Daniel Portman who lives in Modi’in ( Barney and Joanne Portman’s son). He also buys supplies for soldiers and we gave him some money.

And finally, we sent a check to the Lone Soldier organization ( Michael Levin Lone Soldier .org) that not only provides supplies but  also psychological counseling for the soldiers. Very little is discussed here, in the States, about how this war is effecting these young soldiers and the atrocities they have seen.

Thank you again for allowing us to be your emissaries in performing these acts of loving kindness.

“If they (Hamas) would put down their weapons there would be peace…if Israel puts her weapons down there would be no Israel”…..

Much love and thankfulness…M and R

The 174th   Day of Israel’s War Against Hamas
By Sherwin Pomerantz

Thankfully, the Israeli government has asked the Biden administration to reschedule a planned meeting in Washington, just days after Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered the meeting cancelled in protest over the recent United Nations Security Council vote demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.  On Monday, after the US mission to the UN declined to utilize the American veto, allowing a resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, Netanyahu nixed plans to dispatch a delegation to Washington to discuss the much-anticipated IDF operation in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah.  On Wednesday, however, according to reports in NBC News and Reuters, a US official cited, said the Israeli government is now seeking to reschedule the trip, and has reached out to the White House.

In the interim, Tuesday and Wednesday saw two days of meetings between Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and senior officials in the White House and Pentagon, where discussions focused on Israel’s planned military operation in southern Gaza not on how to stop it, but on how to protect civilians during its rollout. The businesslike tone of the talks was a departure from previous weeks, when top US officials bluntly warned Israel against an all-out offensive on Rafah.

The IDF has now begun isolating Rafah in southern Gaza and started taking steps to evacuate the city’s civilian population, Channel 12 reported on Wednesday.  The moves come despite intensifying international opposition to a ground operation in the last Hamas stronghold, which Israel says is necessary to defeat the terrorist organization. The final four Hamas battalions, comprising some 3,000 terrorists, are holed up in the city, according to Israel.

There are also well over a million Gazans sheltering in Rafah, causing concern regarding potential harm to non-combatants. As part of the preparations for the operation, Israel has purchase from China 40,000 tents for Rafah evacuees, which will be moved to the Gaza Strip after arrival in Israel, according to the report. “Clear places will be defined in the Strip where the tents will be placed and the refugees will stay,” the article states. All of this is intended to shield non-combatants from harm once the Rafah incursion begins in earnest

Regarding the number of Hamas fighters in Gaza, 30,000 was always an estimate for how many fighters Hamas had. Israel now knows the number was too low. Given the numbers provided by IDF sources, Israel has killed roughly 13,000 members of Hamas.  Already back in early February and, the IDF wounded another 10,000 to such a degree that it was assessed that they would not be able to return to battle and had arrested an additional 2,300.  The IDF has not provided updated wounded and arrest numbers since then, but simply adding together a series of public announcements regarding arrests, such as the recent 500 Hamas terrorists at Shifa Hospital, at least 3,500  have been arrested to date.  This means roughly 26,000 Hamas members have been put out of action by Israel ater adding  the total killed, wounded, and arrested.

Until Tuesday, IDF sources reported  there were four Hamas battalions in Rafah and two left in central Gaza, leaving around 6,000 Hamas forces.  Adding 26,000 and 6,000 exceeds the 30,000 total but could be considered close enough to be generally accurate. However, on Tuesday, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer said Hamas has 8,000 of its forces in Rafah. Adding an additional 4,000 to 32,000 brings us to 36,000.  But that is not the end of it. Recently, IDF sources gave a briefing indicating 70% of Hamas forces in Khan Yunis, out of an original 4,500, had been removed from the battlefield. That would leave at least 1,300 additional forces in Khan Yunis.  All in all the new total of Hamas troops seems closer to 40,000.

Israel mourns the passing of former Sen. Joseph Lieberman, a good friend of Israel, a former US Vice-presidential candidate and a serious Jew and as well.  His personal commitment and steadfast support for Israel was always very much appreciated as was his standing on principle rather than politics when he supported John McCain’s candidacy for US President, even though they were both from different political parties.  May his memory be blessed.

IAF fighter jets are continuing to operate throughout the Gaza Strip. Dozens of terror targets have been struck over the past day. Among the targets struck were terror tunnels and an underground launcher.
Northern Gaza Strip

The IDF and ISA are continuing to conduct precise operational activity in the area of Shifa Hospital, all while preventing harm to civilians, patients, medical teams, and medical equipment. The hospital is the largest civilian medical facility in the Gaza Strip and has been exploited by Hamas and used as a base for terror activities.

Approximately 200 terrorists have been eliminated in the area of the hospital since the beginning of the operation.

Over the past day, terrorists fired at IDF troops from within and outside of the Emergency Room building of the Shifa Hospital.

During the operation, IDF troops evacuated civilians, patients, and medical teams to alternative medical facilities that the IDF set up to enable proper medical treatment to continue.
Central Gaza Strip

IDF troops are also continuing to operate in the central Gaza Strip. The troops eliminated a number of terrorists over the past day. A terrorist cell was identified adjacent to the troops; the troops then responded by eliminating a number of the terrorists with an IAF aircraft.
Southern Gaza Strip

The IDF and ISA are continuing to conduct precise operational activities in the areas of Al Amal and Al-Qarara in Khan Yunis.

Thus far, the troops have eliminated dozens of terrorists, have struck terrorist infrastructure in which weapons were located, and have located explosive devices and mortar shells.

In once incident, IDF troops identified two terrorists adjacent to the troops. In response, an IAF aircraft fired shells and eliminated the terrorists.
Northern Arena

Today, IDF fighter jets struck a terrorist cell located in a Hezbollah military compound in the area of Tayr Harfa, and an additional terrorist cell in the area of Naqoura.

Leaders of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad Meet with Ayatollah Khamenei in Iran

On Tuesday, March 26, a delegation of senior Hamas terrorists led by the head of Hamas's Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, met with the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in Tehran.

Following the meeting with the Hamas delegation, the Ayatollah then met today with a delegation of senior terrorists from Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) led by the Secretary General of the PIJ, Ziyad al-Nakhalah.

These meetings exemplify the longstanding relationship the Ayatollah regime in Iran has with both Hamas and the PIJ. Iran funds, trains, and equips these terror organizations. To learn more about the relationship between Iran and Palestinian terror organizations in the Gaza Strip, click HERE.

America at Risk

Biden and Trump know the details of the nation’s security threat. Does either have a plan to meet it?
By Daniel Henninger

Friday’s attack on Crocus City Hall near Moscow by Islamic State, with some 130 killed, was an intelligence failure.

Hamas’s Oct. 7 rampage, pitching Israel into a war of survival, was an intelligence failure.

Sept. 11 was an infamous intelligence failure.

The first two events sit starkly before the world. But 9/11 no longer does.

With its nearly 3,000 American deaths, “9/11” became shorthand for an attack that happened more than 22 years ago, in 2001. For most of the people we call “younger voters,” the event called 9/11 is a wholly historical event, not one they experienced.

It seems reasonable to ask: Will the U.S. wait for another 9/11 attack before doing what is necessary to avoid or deter it? The unhappy answer is that because U.S. politics has turned inward and memories are short, America likely will be unprepared for another internal catastrophe.

The 9/11 Commission’s examination of the attack’s causes found that insular U.S. security agencies were poor at sharing relevant information. In its conclusion, the commission said: “As presently configured, the national security institutions of the U.S. government are still the institutions constructed to win the Cold War. The United States confronts a very different world today. Instead of facing a few very dangerous adversaries, the United States confronts a number of less visible challenges that surpass the boundaries of traditional nation-states and call for quick, imaginative, and agile responses.”

Can anyone seriously say we are prepared for today’s challenges, which include everything noted in that 9/11 Commission warning?

We are in a cold war with four traditional nation-states—China, Russia, Iran and North Korea. Simultaneously the world—which alas includes the U.S. mainland—is beset almost weekly by “challenges that surpass the boundaries of traditional nation-states.”

Islamic State is on the move again, after regrouping in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

Hamas—which like ISIS adopted the tactic of posting its bloodthirsty attacks for viewing on the internet—may yet succeed, as the sitting U.S. president bends beneath pressure from anti-Israel voters in the Democratic Party. Israel this week canceled a visit to Washington after the U.S. failed to block a cease-fire resolution in the United Nations Security Council.

Since November, Yemen’s Houthi tribe has fired drones and missiles, supplied by Iran, at U.S. naval vessels and commercial ships in the Red Sea, disrupting global trade.

Niger’s government has formally ended an important but deteriorating military agreement with the U.S.

Closer to home, the U.S. government reports that members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua are coming into the country across the southern border. One might argue that the “border” is polling high in national concerns not merely because of the migrant flow but because of U.S. overdose deaths from fentanyl made by Mexican cartels, which are amassing millions to buy weapons and political protection.

FBI Director Christopher Wray warns repeatedly of the extramilitary threat from China. On Monday, the U.S. government publicly accused China of using its hacker army to install malware in our civilian infrastructure and defense systems.

The 9/11 Commission said we have to be quick, imaginative and agile. I would add one more requirement: We need to be willing. Unless the U.S. is willing to make the political and military commitments necessary to counterbalance these multiple threats, we could get hit. An underappreciated but emerging reality: American citizens are in the strike zone everywhere—Israel, Haiti, Russia, China, Mexico.

Amid this global chaos, the U.S. political system has thrown up a 2024 presidential election pitting the hesitant, hobbled Joe Biden against an indeterminate, variable Donald Trump. The Security Council’s cease-fire resolution, with its Biden-ordered abstention, didn’t demand that Hamas release its hostages, including U.S. citizens. At the same time, Trump allies in Congress are holding up passage of military aid for Ukraine. In both instances, the message of irresolution to our enemies puts us at risk.

From the Middle East to Eastern Europe to the southern U.S. border, the world is filling with “little green men,” proxies affiliated with the four nation-states committed to winning a cold war against the world’s democracies. Two countries on that battlefield—Israel and Ukraine—are fighting and dying for the rest of us.

It’s hard to blame those in the U.S. electorate who say they don’t want to hear it. That we have problems at home, we’re tired of endless wars. If only they were tired of endless wars. They’re just getting started. Our military recruitment is dangerously down. Theirs is dangerously up.

All roads lead back to the U.S. presidential race. Mr. Biden is running around the country raising money, and Mr. Trump is sitting in courtrooms spending it.

Joe Biden is president, Donald Trump was. Both know the details of the current threat. America’s voters deserve to know what each is going to do about it.

EMET had Ambassador John Bolton present his thoughts on the risk Israel and America face from Iran. I listened intently.

John thought Biden started off on the correct foot but, of late, has signaled a weakness do to political concerns. Consequently,  Iran is able to take advantage of this shift which places Israel in a more precarious position.

Bolton also noted, he was tired of hearing non-specifics regarding the manner in which the IDF has fought.  John also hopes Biden will not go all the way to cripple Israel's ability to defeat Hamas but he admitted he was shocked by Sen.Schumer's recent comments.

He went into a lengthy discussion about the failure and how UNRWA has harmed and victimized the Palestinians and frankly stated it should be defunded and shut down.

He also had harsh words for the JCPOA agreement and discussed how Iran had violated its terms. Obama also, mistakenly, allowed Iran to have a uranium enrichment program. Furthermore, terms of  the UN's inspection program was porous and full of holes. Our naivety is coming back to haunt us.

He made the point we thought we had solved the terrorist issue and could pivot away from the Middle East but the Middle  East has not pivoted and we should never have abandoned Afghanistan.

Our main failure is we attack Iran's surrogates but this does no harm to Iran.  Consequently, while Iran has drawn a red line, which Biden chooses not to cross, we have restrained and hamstrung ourselves.

After 10/7, John fervently believes Israelis have every right to defend themselves and we must support them as long as the IDF continues to fight within the dictates of morality and we should veto any UN resolution  adverse to Israel's security.

Bolton's outlook for Iran is dire. He does not believe Iran is likely to return to it's pre 1979 society. The Ayatollah is unwell, and has failed to prepare a succession plan.  Our best option is to work with those within Iran's society who are rational and want Iran to move away from their disastrous isolationist and fanatic religious years since 1979.

There was nothing John said  I disagreed with.  In fact, it was as if I had written his responses.

He is tough and does not back off and I respect his clear eyed approach to a world that is teetering like the Baltimore Bridge and could collapse.
