2d Amendment and Free Speech

Trump tried a 180. He told The Establishment they need to come together and what the Party needs is a love in - beads and all and he is willing to host and pay for it at any one of his fabulous hotels but, apparently, The Establishment is not listening.
Some important elections, where the winner takes all, are occurring on March 15, and logic would dictate Cruz should allow "Small" Mario to take Florida, if he can, and Kasich, my qualified loser of a candidate, to take Ohio, if he can. That way, the thinking is, Trump's momentum could be slowed and the convention could be deadlocked and The Establishment can get together and select another winner like Dole and/or Romney.
Meanwhile, everyone has begun blaming The Donald for the fights breaking out at his campaign rallies because of his bellicosity and Cruz is telling Kasich and Rubio to get out so their supporters can join him in defeating Trump.
The media made their contribution to the current state of the nominating process because, by trumpeting Trump, they were able to increase viewership and thus, make more profit on ads since entertaining has become their main goal not informing.
Finally, Hillarious is playing the part of healer and is spouting platitudes about how everyone should behave and Move On Dot Org. admitted they are trying to shut down Trump.
And, as has been his tack for the past seven years, nothing Obama has done is connected to what has been happening. Why? Because most of the time he has been playing golf, acting through Executive Orders, taking vacations and blaming everyone else.
You are welcome to challenge my above commentary, if you wish, but I believe I have made a reasonable summation.

Last night the clock moved forward for a large part of our nation so let's move the political clock forward and speculate on what could happen if the Demwits nominate Hillarious and she wins the election, unless the FBI makes a reasonable and supportive case as to why she should be hailed before a Grand Jury and she bows out, and Bernie takes her place and wins the election.
If Hillarious becomes president no doubt the Demwits might also defeat enough Repubs running for The Senate and thus, would control that body allowing Hillarious to nominate at least one and possibly 3 or more Supreme Court Justices during her 4 year term. Her appointments would be liberals who believe they know more than our Founding Fathers so, for the next generation or even two, The Constitution would be of little value.
The coal industry, followed by the energy industry would be driven out of business by The EPA and Greens and this might allow more American energy dependency upon that stable region called The Middle East. ISIS, which basically already controls Libya, would increase their income from energy and be in a better position to extend their propensity for beheadings, most particularly of Christians.
Russia might decide it is now time to take over all of Ukraine. So much for that reset button.
President Hillarious would not have to worry about carrying more than one cell phone because she would have lots of staffers doing anything she required but that does not mean state secrets would be safe.
Bill would be in charge of our foreign policy allowing Hillarious more time to make speeches in order to raise money for The Clinton Foundation from those whose taxes she is going to increase and wealth she wants to transfer.
The Obama Health Care Program, would be safe and health care costs would continue to rise as quality health care continues downward and as for Vets, in need of timely health care , well just suck it up fellas!
Anyone wanting a free education would get it and all entrance exams might end because colleges and universities would lower their standards in order to get aboard the education gravy train.
The wealthy would pay higher taxes to fund these new entitlements and our creditors might ask for higher rates thereby, increasing the % of GDP going to pay for expanded socialistic government.
Actually nothing would truly changed because even with The Republican Establishment in control ofCongress, we were already heading in this direction.
If Hillarious is unable to run and win, what happens if Bernie becomes president?
Not a lot of difference either.
There would be more programs offering free stuff and perhaps a few more wealthy American might become citizens of other countries. Why? Because, by the time the election is upon us, Hillarious would have embraced most of Bernie's ideas in order to get the nomination and win the presidency, so there really would not be a dime's difference between them.
There would be some difference in our foreign policy, however. Bernie would be more reticent to engage in a confrontation with our adversaries so China, Russia , Iran and ISIS would move forward implementing their agendas at a faster pace.
Because Bernie is Jewish, that might create some problems for The Saudis and other former Middle Eastern Arab and Muslim Nations who were once our friends but most have pretty much concluded that depending on America for anything went out the window with Obama. Netanyahu may finally get a break but Israel already appreciates the fact that they will remain unloved no matter what. In fact, were Israel to allow The Palestinians to have everything they want, including all of Jerusalem, the world would still find a way to boycott Israel for hanging onto their country for over 70 years. What took them so long? How dare they!
So, in the final analysis, a win by Hillarious or Bernie would not be all that bad if we want to continue heading in the dire direction both parties are already taking us. Only the pace will accelerate.
More importantly, we would not have to listen to Trump tell us what a great nation we are going to become again, Mexico will not have to pay for a wall which will not stop illegals from coming, in any event, and we can go back to sitting on our thumbs, moaning and groaning about the sad state of affairs and debating more critical issues such as who will win the next Super Bowl and do Black Lives really matter.
Cynically speaking, I am beginning to feel better about a Hillarious prospective election or, for that matter, Bernie's.
As for those who read these missives, they know I have wrestled and agonized over the potential of a Trump nomination, not because he was ever my candidate. I chose several weeks ago, when I had a chance to vote early in Georgia, to cast for Kasich, knowing it was a lost cause, for two reasons.
He has an accomplished record of achievements, though he is not as conservative as I might wish and Lynn and I met him over 25 years ago when Newt brought him to Atlanta and I was impressed then and have remained so since.
The last time I voted for a Democrat for President it was for Carter, the first time, and before him Kennedy and after Clinton, whom I did not vote for, I just totally wrote them off as a party.
After two terms of Obama and a Demwit Party which now offers me a choice of Hillary and Bernie, I find this deeply insulting.
Second, virtually everything Democrats now stand for is anathema to my way of thinking.
Socialism is a pathway to slavery if you have read Hayek and believe in anything he writes. Progressives have substituted PC'ism for faith. Their feckless foreign polices will only lead to more world strife and ultimately to war. Only a fool believes you can spend what you do not want to pay for ad infinitum. Running down our military and thus, creating power vacuums, has always resulted in tragedy. I find it contemptible that disregarding laws has become acceptable.
Granted, Ayn Rand's philosophy is impractical for the masses but, as a recent bumper posted stated, Atlas Shrugged is not a fiction. Kernels of her thinking permeated my soul at an early age and have guided me all my life. My granddaughter Dagny, is even named after one of Rand's characters.
Finally, I cannot abide the thought of sleeping in the same bed with the likes of Wasserman, Pelosi, Reid, Boxer, Schumer, etc. As bedfellows their incessant political snoring would keep me awake and therefore, exhausted
That said, in the general election I am moving closer to being willing to toss the grenade and see whether that will shake things up enough to bring about needed change and will probably go with Trump.
Though I have never been a party person, just a Conservative , I believe there is a residual amount of conservatism still remaining in the ranks of the Republican Party. The problem is their lack of discipline and adherence to their principles. They have failed to walk their talk and thus, they have contributed to what they now reject - Trumpism. Consequently, if Repubs cannot nominate a rational candidate they too deserve to be punished even it means shooting myself and my country in the foot, as I pull the Trump lever.
Should it be Cruz, instead of Trump, I still would not be enthralled because there is something about him that does not ring true but I could be wrong.
Often in life you are dealt a Hobson Choice. I believe this is what 2016 is turning out to be.
Time will tell.
