Obama Poised to Pull the Plug on Biden?

Special counsel Robert Hur did a great service to America last week in two ways that fundamentally and irreversibly transform the Presidential race. As a result, just like in Hillary Clinton’s ‘3 a.m. phone call’ television ad in the 2008 contest, the iPhone is buzzing in Barack Obama’s Martha’s Vineyard compound, and he had better answer it.

Number one, by declining to charge President Biden for “willfully retain[ing]” classified materials, Hur blew up any pretense of fairness when it comes to how Biden’s Department of Justice treats its own boss, while it throws the book at President Trump.

Not only did Hur decline to prosecute Biden, he made clear that the facts surrounding Biden’s retention of documents were far worse – not even in the same solar system – compared with President Trump’s case.

To review the bidding:

– As a former President, Trump was covered by the Presidential Records Act that allows the chief executive to retain some personal records from his time in office, as it did with former President Bill Clinton in the infamous “socks case,” as well as “broad authority to formally declassify most documents that are not statutorily protected, while they are in office,” according to the American Bar Association. As a former senator and vice president, Biden was not covered by the Presidential Records Act, and has no case whatsoever for retaining classified personal materials from his time in either office.

– Biden had no protection whatsoever over his custody of the classified documents he possessed illegally, many of which he squirreled away in his unlocked garage next to a non-electric Corvette. President Trump’s documents were kept under lock and key at his Mar-a-Lago estate that even some in the media acknowledge is “built like a fortress,” and guarded around-the-clock by Secret Service officers.

– Hur’s report noted that Biden’s documents were recovered by FBI agents “from the garage, offices, and basement den in Mr. Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware home,” and at the Penn Biden Center, Biden’s lucrative Washington perch after leaving office in 2017. (This latter facility is otherwise known as the “Penn China Center,” because the University of Pennsylvania mysteriously received at least $30 million from anonymous Chinese donors within weeks of establishing the center for Biden and his former aides the year he left office, including future Secretary of State Antony Blinken.)

–  Trump’s possession of his records in the year-and-a-half after he left office was made plain to authorities from the DOJ, FBI and the National Archives, and Trump and his staff met with their representatives to discuss his retention of the documents, and what he could do to keep them secure at Mar-a-Lago. This was only weeks before Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland ordered a surprise, sirens-blaring, pre-dawn, multiple-SUV raid by FBI agents on Trump’s estate with media in tow and news cameras rolling overhead from a number of helicopters.

– In Biden’s case, he held on to his documents illegally for at least 15 years, in some instances going back to his 36-year tenure in the Senate. Hur noted that one of the boxes in Biden’s garage “contained marked classified documents from the late 1970s.”

– Hur reported that during the years Biden retained his classified documents, he even shared them with a ghostwriter, telling the scribe that he had “just found all the classified stuff downstairs” during a recorded interview in his Virginia home after leaving office in 2017.

–  Amazingly, when Biden’s lawyers disclosed his illegal possession of the documents, Merrick Garland’s FBI somehow arranged a quiet visit to the president’s Wilmington home to conduct a friendly inspection – no dramatic unannounced pre-dawn raid, no breathless live-streams from media embedded in a long convoy of armored cars or hovering overhead.

On its own, Hur’s refusal to prosecute Biden for far more serious allegations than Trump faces in his own case transforms the race for president because it obliterates one of the central arguments Democrats have pushed in their effort to defeat him – that somehow Trump has committed serious crimes for which he must be held accountable through four unprecedented prosecutions. In sum, it lays bare the ludicrousness of the lawfare Democrats are waging on the former president.

Second, and even more significant, Hur’s report knocks down in plain and irrefutable language the other pillar of Democrats’ case for victory in November, namely that the obvious, long-running and steep decline in Biden’s cognitive abilities should be ignored and that he is mentally fit to stand for re-election.

Earlier last week, Russian leaders and state media were laughing openly at Biden for his diminished mental function, including taunts over his lack of firm command over U.S. nuclear launch codes, for mistaking long-deceased 1980s French President François Mitterrand for the current leader Emmanuel Macron, and for losing track of his own defense secretary Lloyd Austin for six days in January.

In typical fashion, the White House spin team attempted to deflect questions over Biden’s regular stumbles and bumbles, and compare favorably his dizzying cognitive slide with what even Trump’s detractors admit is the former president’s strongest suit – his undisputed energy, verbal facility and command of communication on the public stage, including hosting a top-rated reality TV show for over a decade.

Then the Robert Hur bomb dropped. The special prosecutor wrote that one of the main reasons he decided against prosecuting Biden for “willfully retain[ing]” classified documents was for precisely the cognitive decline that the White House and Democrats have been denying desperately for the past year. Hur argued that in any prosecution, “Mr. Biden will likely present himself to the jury, as he did during his interview with our office, as a sympathetic, well meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

In other words, Biden’s own DOJ is refuting in clear and direct language the song and dance the White House has put forward publicly this election year that the incumbent President is mentally fit to fulfill the duties of his office, both presently, and in a second term. Biden himself validated Hur’s claim by calling a last-minute audible and holding a news conference following the report’s release that even the New York Times called a “political disaster,” and in which Biden mistook the Mexican president for the president of Egypt.

Thanks to Hur’s report, the Democrats’ two strongest arguments for keeping Trump from another four years in the Oval Office – that the former president is a crook worthy of prosecution, and that Biden is mentally fit to serve as the nation’s chief executive – lie in tatters.

Which brings us to President Obama. The last Democrat president has been warning Biden and party leaders for months, privately and publicly through former aides like David Axelrod, that he faces an uphill fight to win a second term. Now that Hur’s report has detonated like a shaped charge in Biden’s political bunker, Obama is the only man on the planet who can talk Jill and Joe Biden out of standing for re-election.

Obama actually performed this duty for his party twice before, when he convinced his sitting vice president not to run against Hillary Clinton in 2016, and counseled Biden against running in 2020 as well when he was out of office.

Obama has a short window to take that course a third time and arrange to have Biden, in a fig-leaf speech sometime in the next few weeks, “declare victory,” announce that his “great work restoring American democracy is complete,” and that he is no longer running for another term.

Since it’s too late to get other Democrat candidates on remaining state primary ballots, Biden would declare a “fair and open primary fight” to be decided in August with a vote of delegates at the Democrat convention in Obama’s hometown of Chicago, and announce he will refrain from endorsing any candidate before the convention “to preserve the fairness of the process.” In this way Obama will finesse the party’s Kamala DEI problem and let Democrat delegates decide, as voters did in the 2016 primary, that she is not fit to serve as their standard-bearer on the basis of merit rather than through the prism of identity politics.

A far-fetched scenario? Possibly. But with Biden on life support both mentally and politically, there’s no question Obama is already fielding calls along those lines from Party pooh-bahs at his Martha’s Vineyard mansion. And Obama may soon conclude, that for Democrats to have any worldly chance to retain the White House in November, he has no choice but to pull the plug.

An Alarming Lesson in Anti-Jewish Resentment

When it comes to DEI programs and other race-focused bureaucracies, it can be easy to forget the underlying ideology and focus on the diversity offices and officers themselves. But in Maryland, we just got a chilling reminder that the worldview that nourishes such fads—whether DEI or intersectionality or race theory or “privilege” discourse—has spread far and wide and holds up the Jew as the ultimate public enemy.

At issue is a Maryland House bill that would establish a grant program for Holocaust education in schools throughout the state. The grant money would go to fund teacher training and class materials.

State education grant programs aren’t terribly oppressive. But they do cost money. And that is money poorly spent, according to opponents of the bill who spoke at a recent committee hearing. One parent objecting to the legislation is worth quoting at length, as an example of the raw anti-Semitism at the heart of the competitive victimhood that governs progressive-minded institutions.

He started off addressing “the black members of this board,” and launched into a tirade we have all heard before and will hear again, though we’re hearing it a bit more often these days. “It would be absolute treason, after 250 years of the Holocaust, of what we went through in chattel slavery, to allow people to come and take our suffering, put a few shekels on it, and benefit off of what we went through,” said the man, himself African-American. “This is the United States of America. We were the ones who went through the Holocaust. There was no Jewish suffering in this place—in fact, they helped to bring us over here, to the native Americans and the Hispanics.… It is treason to your ancestors to let someone take your suffering, and to do this to benefit them to tell a story that is ahistorical.”

He then turned “to the white people in the room” and addressed them: “Yes, you participated in both of those, but guess what? The truth is, you built this country, and we built this country. We may not have wanted to do it, but we did it. When the time came to save Jews in Germany, you were the ones with the power. And guess what you did? You gave blood, sweat, and tears and resources and went and saved them.… You don’t owe them anything. They owe us, America. And I’ve not yet in fifty years heard one of them say thank you. So I ask every member of every group that I just spoke of: If they want this, let them go to Germany and get it from the Germans. American citizens owe nothing in this regard and it is treason to take our suffering as African people and use it and monopolize it and take it and let somebody else benefit from it.”

American politics has turned into a kind of racial spoils system. And this is its end state: “They” are the Jews; “We” are everyone else. We used to worry that kids would learn this at home and our educational institutions would struggle to keep students from acting out the parts they were taught to play. Now we reckon with the fact that schools have gone so far as to require this racial fanaticism to be dissolved into the bloodstream of students before they graduate. America has been very good to the Jews. And for that, apparently, the Jews will be punished.

Will Biden shove it down Israel's throat to try and save his presidency?

Report: Biden quickly advancing plan for Palestinian state

Biden administration and several Arab countries are advancing a plan to declare a Palestinian state after the war in Gaza ends; timetable expected to be announced within weeks.

The Biden administration, together with several Arab countries, is quickly advancing a plan for a timetable to create a Palestinian state the day after the war in Gaza ends, the Washington Post reported.

According to the plan, which the Post called a "comprehensive plan for long-term peace between Israel and Palestinians," the timeline for the establishment of "Palestine" could be announced within the next several weeks.

The plan is being advanced quickly due to the proposed temporary cessation of fire suggested in the prisoner swap deals placed on the negotiations table.

The planners hope that a ceasefire of at least six weeks would allow time to announce the plan to the public, recruit support, and take necessary steps towards creating a state; they hope that an agreement can be reached before Ramadan begins on March 10.

One US official told the Post that, "The key is the hostage deal."

The Post claimed that Israel is "the elephant in the room," since Israel would need to agree to withdraw "many, if not all, settler communities on the West Bank," as well as agree to "Palestine's" capital being "East Jerusalem," reconstructing Gaza, and allowing security and governance agreements for an Arab state in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza.

"The hope is that Israel would also be offered specific security guarantees and normalization with Saudi Arabia and other Arab states that would be hard to refuse," the Post added.

US officials also aid that the actions under consideration include "early US recognition of a Palestinian state," even while the exact elements of such a state are being implemented.

A US official briefed to the talks explained to the Post, "We don’t want to lose the momentum of this moment by doing this in pieces and in parts."

Gush Etzion Regional Council Mayor, and Chairman of the Yesha Council, Shlomo Ne'eman, commented on the report:

"The establishment of a Palestinian state means a loss in the war and a victory for the cruel enemy in the Palestinian Authority."

"We cannot turn off the lights and give up the State of Israel. Therefore we will not be silent until we receive a clear announcement from the Israeli government that a Palestinian state will not be established, not tomorrow, and not at all.''

Binyamin Regional Council Governor Israel Ganz denounced the plan:

"Do not reward murder! There can be no gift of an independent palestinian state after the October 7th massacre. This would be not only a moral disgrace but a massive threat to Israel's very existence."

"The Israel Defense Forces have spent the past few months combating threats on Israel's borders, and this includes a major rise in terror against Jewish Israelis in Judea, Samaria, and in Binyamin - just a few short miles from the central Israeli towns of Netanya, Kfar Saba and Tel Aviv. Establishing a Palestinian state in these highlands will turn Kfar Saba into Kfar Aza and Modi'in into Be'eri, no less. It is inconceivable that Israel’s closest ally could reward the perpetrators and supporters of the October massacre in our southern communities, to boost the expectations of child murderers and rapists, terrorists who rose up against the Jewish People and the State of Israel, just four months ago."

"The Israeli government must announce, immediately and in no uncertain terms, that it opposes and completely rejects any Palestinian statehood process at this time. The responsibility for such an announcement rests squarely on the shoulders of our Prime Minister and his Cabinet, and we expect our leaders to make this clear to the US and to the world."

Not Optimistic!

There is a report floating around which asserts Biden is about to shove establishment of a Palestinian State down Israel's throat.  The reason is not clear but, in view of "Uncle Joe's" sinking poll numbers and the morally corrupt politician he is known to be (just ask Justice Thomas,) it obviously must have something to do with his desire to save his re-election.

"Uncle Joe" has been loyal to Israel until "Bibi's" war lasted too long for our president's political tolerance so it has come time to pull the Persian Rug out from under Bibi since Bibi intends to complete his goal of reducing the risk of a third Holocaust.

There is no love lost between BIBI and Biden, nor was there any lost between Obama and Bibi. Over the last few years Bibi has become Israel's Trump. The Israeli left have deserted him, the Israeli AG is pursuing  him for corruption, the Israeli right, out of political necessity, dragged him too far in their direction, Israel's liberal mass media revere him as their convenient pin cushion, and then we have the Hamas War and Intelligence breakdown.

Yes, the buck eventually stops wherever it chooses and the leader in the desk seat becomes the casualty. Few, if any, can duck the consequences. Even lovable Bill Clinton was taken to the cleaner.

Bibi's fate is partially a reflection of his success because he made enemies while accomplishing his own many achievements and eventually any politician, who remains in office for an extended period, must make a lot of decisions which wind up riling just about every political faction. This happened to Churchill,  to Johnson, MLK even  to Caesar and Moses.

The Palestinian's leadership is corrupt,  has always placed self-aggrandizement before their people and the Palestinians, themselves, have generally failed themselves because they were always driven by a false narrative they came to believe and which worked, ie. victimhood. They made their own bed but never chose to sleep in it, became the world's migraine headache but were able to finesse the fact that they rejected every opportunity to live in peace with their neighbor.

Time will tell.  It always does. Being the cynic, I was born to be, I am not optimistic. Ironic, Israel is reputedly a kosher nation yet continues as the world's "stuck pig."

Haven't heard from Ralph Reed for quite some time.

Ralph Reed’s red flag: Is Biden's reelection driving US Mideast policy?

Reed emphasized to the Post that Israel deserves unequivocal support in concluding its conflict with Hamas and addressing potential threats from Hezbollah in the North and unrest in the West Bank.

US President Joe Biden's reelection worries are influencing his Middle East policies, potentially posing risks to Israel, according to American political consultant and lobbyist Ralph Reed.

"There's an appearance that US foreign policy, and US policy toward Israel and the Middle East, is being influenced by domestic political consideration," Reed said this week during an interview at the King David Hotel. He said this is both in the rhetoric that the Biden administration is using, such as calling Israel's actions in Gaza "over the top," or in its pressuring Israel to try to bring about a ceasefire for a hostage deal the country cannot accept.

"It's amazing how much of [Secretary of State Antony] Blinken's time and energy is being devoted to this when it ought to be devoted to calling on other Arab states to tell Hamas to surrender and stop fighting," Reed continued. "I think that even the appearance that political considerations with regard to [Biden's] reelection are driving some of this is very concerning."

Reed, the first executive director of the Christian Coalition and the founder of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, was in Israel this week on a solidarity mission organized by the Israel Heritage Foundation. He toured the wreckage of southern Israel and met with top political officials.

Who is Reed backing in the next election?

Reed told The Jerusalem Post that he is supporting Donald Trump, who is poised to secure the Republican nomination to challenge Biden in the upcoming election, because "he's the most pro-life president in my lifetime and he's the most pro-Israel president in my lifetime."

The former president has made negative comments about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel since he left the White House, including saying Netanyahu was caught unprepared by Hamas's attack and accusing the prime minister of disloyalty. However, Reed said that if reelected, "Trump would be as pro-Israel in a second term."

"Trump turned the screws on Iran," Reed said, noting that the former president had Iran down to around 300,000 barrels per day or less in crude oil exports by June 2019 from the more than 2.5 million barrels the country shipped in April 2018, the month before Trump withdrew the United States from the nuclear deal.

He said under Trump, the Houthis were listed as a terrorist organization, and the country defunded the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), all policies that Biden reversed.

Trump has said that the Israel-Hamas conflict would have been prevented under his presidency. While Reed didn't explicitly agree, he did suggest that Hamas exploited Biden's support of Iran and his perceived weak foreign policies.

"I think it is difficult to disconnect a projection of strategic weakness on the part of the United States from bad actions being taken by bad actors, and that would be the case with [Russian President Vladmir] Putin going into Ukraine, Iranian-funded militias attacking US forces 160 times and firing missiles with impunity at US naval vessels," and when it comes to Hamas's murderous actions on October 7, Reed said.

"If every other sentence out of your mouth is, 'We don't want war with Iran,' then don't be surprised if they do whatever they want to do," he continued. "Regardless of where you stand on Israel's prosecution of the war in Gaza with Hamas, it is enormously destabilizing to the region – and not just to the region but to the entire world."

Reed emphasized to the Post that Israel deserves unequivocal support in concluding its conflict with Hamas and addressing potential threats from Hezbollah in the North and unrest in the West Bank.

He said he was in the country representing the 2.7 million members of his  Faith and Freedom Coalition and, more broadly, the 70 million to 80 million Evangelicals in the United States who support Israel.

"We want the government of Israel, and the people of Israel, to have the support they need to win this war," Reed said, defining victory as defeating Hamas and destroying its infrastructure, demilitarizing Gaza and deradicalizing the local population.

Reed spoke to the Post a week after new data was published by Prof. Motti Inbari of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and Dr. Kirill Bumin of Boston University showed that support for Israel among young Evangelicals under the age of 30 has plummeted by over 50% in just three years, posing a potential threat to American backing for the Jewish State.

Reed said he was not "overly concerned" about the data.

"If you go out and survey the American people today, by a fairly healthy majority, they're supportive of Israel. It is not what it used to be, but they're supportive." However, he admitted if the survey were only of Americans ages 18 to 30, the results would skew much less pro-Israel.

"But for the younger Evangelicals, this is not a function of their Evangelicalism or their faith. It is a function of their youth," Reed explained. "As they move through the course of their lives, graduate college, get married and have children, they start to come our way."

He said this is true not only when it comes to Israel but also on conservative issues, such as abortion, same-sex marriage, gender, etc.

"I don't want to be overly optimistic, but I am as optimistic as I can be that as long as there is a large and vibrant Evangelical community in the United States, the United States is going to be pro-Israel," Reed stressed. "I can tell you that the community I represent stands 100% behind Israel."

Reed said, "Israel's struggle is our struggle, and Israel's enemies are America's enemies."

The war in Gaza is not a battle between Israel and Hamas, he added. "This is a civilizational struggle between democracy and human rights on one side and barbarism and terrorism on the other. We have to prevail."

Dear world, we see you. We see you, and we won’t forget.

The double standard and hypocrisy surrounding this war and Israel, in general, is astounding and disgraceful. Here is a partial list. Opinion.

Hillel Fuld is an American Israeli technology business advisor, blogger, and vlogger. Fuld's work focuses on the Israeli high tech industry, guidance for startup companies, and marketing tips for growing a business or personal brands. His brother Ari Hy"d was murdered by a terrorist in 2018 in Gush Etzion, managing to shoot the terrorist after being fatally stabbed.

Here is a partial list of the most twisted aspects of the Israeli-Hamas war that prove just how morally bankrupt the anti Israel crowd is:

- The fact that anyone, in their right mind, would call for a ceasefire when Hamas proudly declares it’ll repeat October 7th over and over.

- The fact that a Palestinian state is even being discussed when there has yet to be one Palestinian Arab leader who has said that they are willing to live alongside Israel.

- The fact that there are otherwise normal people who walk around quoting casualty numbers provided by Hamas despite the fact that Hamas is a terror organization that has zero problem making things up out of thin air.

- The fact that anyone denies the barbaric Hamas atrocities of October 7th despite the fact that there is HD footage of it all, and even Hamas doesn’t deny it.

- The fact that after October 7th, instead of support for Israel skyrocketing, it was antisemitism that skyrocketed.

- The fact that there are actual terrorists protesting on the streets of London and so many other cities who call for an intifada and somehow, these people are not arrested.

- The fact that the UN, and specifically UNRWA, have been proven to actively support Hamas and there are still countries funding them and still people debating their legitimacy.

- The fact that the head of UNRWA can claim he didn’t know that a multi million dollar tunnel that uses the electricity from UNRWA HQ was being built right under his nose.

- The fact that otherwise moral people and even human rights activists literally support rape and pedophilia as long as the victims are Jews.

- The fact that there are literal human beings in the West repeating Nazi rhetoric in public and no one blinks an eye.

- The fact that Blinken and the US State Department think they have a right to dictate to Israel how it should and should not defend itself.

- The fact that the world is losing its sh_t about the necessary Rafah operation despite the clear knowledge that the hostages are there and Hamas leadership is hiding there. It’s as if the world wants Hamas to survive.

- The fact that the Red Cross hasn’t visited the hostages or gotten them medical care and no one seems to care.

- The fact that there is hard evidence that Hamas steals the foreign aid going into Gaza and countries are still sending in aid and forcing Israel to send in aid.

- The fact that Egypt won’t let a single Palestinian in and no one seems to think that is strange despite pressuring Israel to do the same.

- The fact that anyone in the western world is calling for Israel to stop instead of calling for the release of the hostages.

- The fact that America is not using its influence over Qatar to make them pressure Hamas to release the hostages.

- The fact that Israel is being accused of genocide when Hamas’ declared goal is exactly that, genocide. And they don’t even hide it.

- The fact that the world is even talking about this war and totally ignoring other conflicts/wars around the world with significantly more casualties.

- The fact that so many people around the world are chanting ‘From the river to the sea’ without even knowing what it means (the total erasure of Israel) or what sea and river they’re even talking about.

- The fact that the same people calling for a ceasefire are calling for an intifada, even though those two things are mutually exclusive.

- The fact that the Iron Dome is a defensive system that has saved millions but there are actual politicians who oppose it. Like AOC.

- The fact that the same American politicians who use old antisemitic tropes like double loyalty have literally declared their double loyalty, and everyone just goes on with their day like that’s normal.

- The fact that there are actual Nazi accounts on the various social platforms calling for the literal extermination of Jews and somehow, they’re allowed to continue to spew the hatred because of “Free speech”.

- The fact that anyone accuses Israel of discrimination a.k..a an apartheid state despite endless evidence and even testimonies from actual Arabs living in Israel that Israel is anything but an apartheid state.

- The fact that there are Jews who support Hamas and spread full blown antisemitism despite the fact that Hamas and all the other radical Islamic organizations they are defending would kill them the first chance they got.

- The fact that any liberal is standing against Israel despite the fact that their liberal values align with Israel and are the literal opposite of the values of the people they are defending.

- The fact that women’s rights activists haven’t said a word about the savage sexual violence perpetrated by Hamas, and some even deny it.

- The fact that no pressure is being applied to Lebanon and Hezbollah to stop attacking Israel but as soon as Israel retaliates to defend itself, and Israel WILL retaliate; the world will magically wake up.

- The fact that Abbas denies the Holocaust and pays terrorists but somehow governments and politicians around the world continue to pretend that he’s a moderate and can take over for Hamas in Gaza.

- The fact that according to every survey, the vast majority of Palestinian Arabs support Hamas and are proud of October 7th and somehow the narrative that most of the Palestinian Arabs are innocent keeps being pumped out and shoved down our throats.

- The fact that the world compares innocent hostages kidnapped from their homes to literal murderers and terrorists that were arrested and are in Israeli prisons.

- The fact that the Palestinian Arab lies are so clear and obvious, and yet, the world eats them up. The pallywood videos are a perfect example. Dead bodies moving, fake babies, and familiar faces that play different roles in every video.

- The fact that everyone knows Iran is behind all of this and not only do we ignore that fact, but the world continues to give Iran money and legitimacy as if they’re not a genocidal regime that wants to erase the West.

- The fact that Iran is weeks away from a nuclear bomb and we’re just sitting by and waiting even though they admit openly they want to destroy Israel and America.

- The fact that we have actual footage of Palestinian Arab terrorists attacking Israelis and the world only shows the second half of the video of those Israelis eliminating the terrorists. Over and over.

- The fact that everyone knew that Germany had to be denazified at all costs; the same for Japan, but when it comes to Gaza, despite evidence of indoctrination from age zero, things are different.

- The fact that the world is obsessed with Gaza casualty numbers even though that wasn’t even discussed in any other war ever.

Ok, I’ll stop here even though I could continue on and on.

The double standard and hypocrisy surrounding this war and Israel, in general, is astounding and disgraceful.

My only hope is that the Israeli leadership doesn’t cave to the hypocritical international pressure and continues to do what it needs to do until complete victory over Hamas.

Anything less than that would be a historic and colossal failure.

Dear world, we see you. We see you, and we won’t forget.

The Uncertain Fate of Israel’s Northern Border
Transcript will be available here

Following the October 7th barbaric attacks on Israel, Hezbollah, the Iranian proxy that sits on Israel’s northern border, had begun lobbing Katusha rockets, mortar rockets, drones, and anti-tank missiles on Israel’s northern border. The Israeli government has evacuated 43 communities from Israel’s north, leaving approximately 61,000 Israelis as “internally displaced refugees.” Many are afraid to go home and are living in temporary residences and hotels until the northern border is more secure. In the meantime, unfortunately, both Lebanon and Syria have been strong allies of Hezbollah, and neither of those two governments seem prepared to take on Hezbollah. Certainly, the government of Lebanon remains under the tight grip of Hezbollah and is unwilling to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which says that Hezbollah must go north of the Litani River.

The government of Israel has been saying for several months now that they will tackle Hezbollah after they have eliminated the threat from Hamas in the south. Do they now have the capability, commitment, and will to do this? If not, what will become of Israel’s northern border, and of the tens of thousands of evacuees from the north?

Here to answer these questions is Lieutenant Colonel Sarit Zehavi.

About the Speaker: Lieutenant Colonel (Res.) Sarit Zehavi is the founder and president of Alma – a nonprofit and an independent research and education center specialized in Israel’s security challenges on its northern border. Sarit has briefed hundreds of groups and forums, ranging from US Senators, Congressmen/women and politicians to senior journalists and visiting VIP groups in Israel and overseas. Sarit scripts numerous position papers and updates focusing on Lebanon, Syria and Israel’s national security challenges. She served for 15 years in the Israeli Defense Forces, specializing in Military Intelligence. Sarit holds an M.A. in Middle East Studies from Ben-Gurion University. Her unique achievements led her to be selected by the Jerusalem Post as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Global Jewish personalities of 2021.
