Incompetent Elites Make Trump Look Appealing
Biden Brags of “Blowout” in South Carolina With 4% Turnout Can’t you just feel the feverish enthusiasm?

Once upon a time, journalists were warned not to ‘bury the lede’. But in an era when the media is Pravda with snappier logos, the lede has to be buried in an unmarked grave most of the time. Take the story of Biden’s big blowout primary win.
Media headlines hype his 96% victory in the South Carolina primary. Fewer mention that it was a 4% turnout election.
I’ve said before that Biden had the DNC rig the primary calendar to favor him by putting South Carolina first and kicking out New Hampshire because he couldn’t lose in SC if he were dead.
And this primary proved it.
South Carolina secured Biden the nomination in the 2020 primaries. He paid multiple campaign visits there and spent six figures on ads in a state that was a sure thing to produce these kinds of big numbers.
And 96% (the current estimate) does sound like a lot. But it’s 96% of what? As it turns out, it’s 96% of 4%.
South Carolina saw only 4% voter turnout statewide with 131,870 ballots cast, the lowest turnout in the past three Democratic presidential preference primaries. In 2020, the state saw roughly 16% voter turnout and 12.6% turnout in 2016.
Upstate counties saw a turnout of around 2-3%
About 126,000 people (so far) cast their ballots for Joe Biden out of the 150,000 plus people who showed up.
Can’t you just feel the feverish enthusiasm?
And it wouldn’t be a Biden campaign event without indecipherable gibberish.
Shortly after the race was called, Biden phoned Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.) who was speaking to supporters at the South Carolina Democratic Party’s victory night event. Biden, who Clyburn put on speakerphone along with the microphone he was holding, expressed his thanks and asked about turnout.
The specifics of what he said were difficult for the audience to hear.
Considering the turnout numbers, that was probably safest.

Israel’s 121st Day of War
By Sherwin Pomerantz
On this, the 121st day of war in Israel heavy fighting was reported both in the northern and southern sections of Gaza with the IDF continuing its efforts to root out the Hamas leadership in Khan Yunis in the center of the strip. To date, 562 IDF soldiers have been killed between the events of October 7th and in battle since the beginning of the war.
The hostage talks with Hamas seem likely to produce results but have been temporarily stymied by disagreements among the Hamas leadership inside and outside Israel. The local leadership seems to favor a six-week suspension of fighting with the return of hostages (not clear how many or whom) while the external leadership is pushing for a formal agreement to permanently end the fighting so Gaza can start to rebuild. Hamas is due to give its recommendations to the Qataris at 1900 today, Sunday. On the Israeli side it is still not clear what the “day after scenario” is in the minds of the government here which is creating a challenge for the IDF leadership.
On the northern border, Israeli fighter jets struck several targets in southern Lebanon on Saturday, successfully destroying Hezbollah infrastructure, the IDF spokesperson's unit said. Among the Hezbollah infrastructure targeted by the IDF were military headquarters and outposts. During the operation, the IDF struck two military outposts near the towns of Marwahin and Ayta ash Shab, as well as a military headquarters in the area of Yaroun.
On the same day three missile launches were detected coming from Lebanon falling in open areas near Bar'am and Zar’it in Northern Israel, no casualties were reported.
A rocket fired by Houthi rebels in Yemen aimed at Eilat was destroyed enroute by Israel’s Arrow Defense System. Meanwhile, on Saturday the US launched attacks directed at Iran-backed units in Yemen, Syria and Iraq, killing 40 and damaging sensitive military installations in all three countries.
Last night there were continued demonstrations in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv by the hostage families demanding that government take further action to bring them home …..now!!!!!!!
Future Leadership
Today I am featuring a young leader from the Israeli Arab community, Yahya Mahamid, an Arab Israeli Zionist, educator, and Israel advocate, who defies stereotypes and embraces a mission of peace and understanding. Born in Umm Al Fahm, he grew up with anti-Zionist sentiments but began questioning these views after personal interactions with Israelis challenged his perceptions. His transformative journey led him to embrace his identity as a Muslim Zionist.
Yahya faced backlash and threats after a viral photo showed him with the Israeli flag in 2014, but he remained steadfast in his mission to bridge gaps and dispel misinformation. He began working with StandWithUs, an organization dedicated to educating people about Israel, to speak across the US and eventually throughout Europe and the rest of the world. He then enlisted in the IDF as a volunteer, serving for two years as a firearms instructor and then as a disciplinary officer before being recruited for a special delegation in Dubai that worked toward the Abraham Accords.
Yahya uses his platform to promote Israeli-Palestinian peace. Towards that end he is a project manager at Diploact, (https://www.diploact.com/en) an advocacy organization that aims to shape and improve the public perception of Israel. He also serves as a mentor in various programs and works to empower and integrate youth from Israel’s Arab minority.
An alumnus of Ono Academic College he has a B.Ed. degree with a major in non-profit/public/organizational management. These are the kinds of young people who give hope for a future of peace and who will need to step forward soon as we rebuild our faith in the government of the people, by the people and for the people. May it be soon.

A Hobson's Choice for Israel?
By Richard Berkowitz
I find it incomprehensible a nation of 300 million, regardless of their conflicting political persuasions, would allow itself to become intimidated by brainless Marxist radicals to the point that they would openly sacrifice everything they were guaranteed in their precious Bill of Rights.
I am referring to constitutional Amendments like freedom of religion, etc.
We have achieved prosperity unlike no other nation.
Our "Bill of Rights" are unique and were crafted by our Founding Fathers.
Are we willing to exchange them for the blessings of misery, destruction, civil disorder, a series of self-inflicted stupidity in the guise of DEI, Wokeness, loss of parental authority, etc.?
Yet, this is what citizens of all stripes and kinships are in the process of doing.
Have we chosen to make peace with the devil? How did this come to be?
It came about because Americans failed to heed alleged explicit warnings given by Benjamin Franklin in response to a woman's inquiry: "A republic, if you can keep it."
It came about because as William Wordsworth wrote: "Getting and spending we lay waste our power."
We allowed far too many Trojan Horses to creep into our society, to infect our institutions, from public education, to the physical destruction of our history; from flirting with defunding the police, to electing public servants who disregarded enforcement of our laws and to depreciating the value of citizenship by allowing illegal hordes to invade our borders.
Republics have a terrible history of survival. Ours has lasted far beyond all the rest but now America's ship of state, like the Titanic, is taking on water and listing badly. Our allies have lost faith in both our word and our actions. Our enemies have chosen to challenge our resolve and not surprising, after our disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
More recently, we failed, after more than 170 unchallenged rocket attacks, to protect our troops, until a multitude of injuries culminated in three military deaths which finally drove President Biden and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to respond in a meek manner.
I am now over 90 years of age and have lived to see a lot of turbulent water go under the bridge.
However, I have never witnessed my country as divided and reluctant to protect itself on virtually every front. In fact, I have never witnessed a president who willingly broadcasts his desire to look the other way as Iran's surrogates knowingly disregard his pusillanimous warning of "don't.". Obviously, our mentally challenged president believes feeding bullies does not increase their appetite. History and Neville Chamberlain demonstrate otherwise.
What is even more disturbing; we are witnessing a president who is literally urging a loyal ally, Israel, to follow our lead, and cease fighting short of their goal of eliminating more devastating and unprovoked attacks by a terrorist group committed to their total elimination. Furthermore, President Biden seems wiling to succumb to political pressures and bad polling numbers by introducing, at a most inappropriate time, pressure on Israel to agree to a two-state "solution."
The Palestinians are committed, as with Hamas, to the elimination of Israel.
The Palestinian Authority rewards wannabe martyrs for wanton attacks on Israeli citizens.
This is the same Palestinians leadership which has been continuously unwilling to take a half loaf and instead reject every opportunity to live in peace.
The Abraham Accords proved to be a significant breakthrough and threatened Iran's desire to increase their power in the region. These accords came about because President Trump was willing to "think outside the box," believing the time was opportunistic. Why? Because a host of Arab nations were finally willing to improve the prospects of their citizens and believed commercial and diplomatic relationships with Israel were preferable to Iran's continued chokehold in the region.
I fear Israel's prime minister, Bibi Netanyahu, will eventually be confronted with a "Hobson Choice," a dangerous opportunity in which only one is offered.
The world wants a premature end to the Hamas War and if that means Hamas's leadership survives, so be it. Kicking the can down the road and allowing events to repeat has become the American Way of resolving "Gordian Knots."
