+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I was given a book about 4 Israeli spies, one of whom was still alive at the time of the book's printing. "Spies of No Country" authored by Matti Friedman included several paragraphs that got me to thinking.
The author discusses the significance of Zionism as related to spinning humiliation into ideals and cited several examples. One of the spy's family was impoverished during the time they were involved in clearing the fields, building homes and creating a country for Jewish refugees who would soon follow. Psychologically, the message of Zionism turned their condition of poverty and their mission of establishing a Jewish homeland into one of exaltation.
Though they were refugees they were encouraged to see themselves as pioneers. The message of Zionism was crafted as a brilliant narrative alchemy and helped save the Jews from the trap of victimhood.
In essence, the above relates to the parable about turning sour lemons into lemonade. I mention this because it is so easy to fall into a self-pity pit, to unwittingly embrace the destructive role/position of victimhood.
Lifting oneself by your own bootstraps is a challenge and often an impossibility, but a positive attitude can also provide leverage and a path to solutions. Contrast this with Government's crippling message of dependency.
Blacks were dealt a bad hand and the story of America's slavery is a fact and part of our history but Critical Race Theory is not the solution because it ignores the history of America's amazing accomplishments and achievements in race relations. From all evidence CRT/Cancel Culture appeals to the worst instincts and causes further rifts among the races. It is the choice of troublemakers and radicals who seek discord not healing.

This is unbelievable, It is insulting, resentful, and disgusting to any law abiding citizen with more than one neuron in their skull. After almost one year of burning cities and taking down statues of patriots and Columbus, they have erected a statue of Floyd… No not the barber of the Andy Griffin Show, although he probably deserves it a lot more than this one… Let's hope they included the needle marks on his arms
