There are a lot of individuals and groups that, for a variety of reasons, would give anything to see America on its knees.

Lately, radicals, anarchists and almost the entire Democrat Party have used their extraordinary distaste for Trump and the fact that he defeated their choice, as a basis for concocting all kind of schemes to bring him down, cast doubt about his loyalty and you know the rest. Two of their weapons of choice are identity politics, including even character assassination of Melania. Hatred knows no bounds.

There is a somewhat corny video, whose intent is to heal the nation's wounds and re-knit America, going around various social media outlets entitled "On Your Side."

I believe it will take more than a song, a video, Barbara Bushes' death to heal our nation.  However, I do believe us "deplorables" will eventually overcome those who place their hatred of Trump above nation because the foundation of their angst will eventually be proven to be what I have believed/stated  all along - baseless and contrived.

Will those who were engaged go to jail?  Maybe a few "Lt Calleys" but not the "Westmoreland's." We have always had a double standard when it comes to sentencing the low and the high. By his own written admission, Comey lied and leaked.  By their own perfidious acts McCabe and Comey changed the language defining Clinton's conduct so her actions fell outside the scope of a Federal Statute for which she was guilty regarding her handling of sensitive information, some of which was classified and even higher

We know Holder was held in Contempt. The first such action ever of an Attorney General. He is now being paid big bucks by Governor "Moon Beam" to strategize how to fight Trump so California can remain a sanctuary nation. We know the IRS blocked conservatives from obtaining tax relief and we know guns were sold to Mexican Drug Lords and then denied by one of our Government Agencies.

We also know Hillary's husband just happened to drop by for a chat about grandchildren with A.G Lynch and Hillary was given questions prior to a debate and she had "gunslinger  Debbie Wasserman" make sure the DNC threw the nomination to her by gutting dear old Bernie.

We also know the FBI did not tell the truth about the genesis of the Steele Dossier in order to get a FISA Warrant.

I have not cited all the shenanigans but none of what I have written is fake news nor have I taken leaps beyond faith  to conclude what I have written.  In fact, when this entire sordid multi-affair "theft of a nation" is finally behind us we may never know the whole truth but most,except for die-hard partisans, will have learned  enough to come to a conclusion they feel meets/is within  their comfort zone.

Trump was correct to base his campaign on the theme of draining the swamp but his own conduct undercut his efforts and it is difficult to win a war against the mass media because they can twist opinion in their direction and have proven they too have little integrity. All too many are driven by ratings , advertising because entertainment is their goal. Their role of ombudsman is left to less than a hand full.

This is an America I hoped would never come but it has.  What will we do?

1) Wall St is continuing its negative response to very good earnings, and its warnings that the bull market is nearly over. You may have noticed there are many Wall St talking heads who have been saying that for months, and in a few cases since the election. The analysts go thru all sorts of gyrations comparing this data series with that, or the age of the recovery, or ten year yields may hit 3% this year ( virtually everyone has been forecasting that for a year, and it will), or they measure some index of irrelevance and claim it shows whatever. Meantime the real world is churning out great earnings, which of course the analysts say that while they beat forecast, it is not good enough because the forecasts are not even better than the analyst said they should be. It is all nonsense. Ever since I went to Wall St decades ago, analysts think they are God, and they know better what a company should be doing, and it is their superior ability to know better than management is what matters. Nothing has changed in 50 years with analysts.  They are like real estate appraisers. They are mostly youngsters who really do not know much, but they like to convince themselves they do because their spreadsheet says it is whatever they calculate.  My point is, the real economy continues to do very well. The tax cuts real impacts have not yet hit. It takes time for corporations to know the tax cut is real and the law, then to assess its impact on them, then to implement plans based on the new rules. It is only     3½ months along, and too soon to really judge the impact. Meantime the economy all across the world continues doing better than ever. In the end it is real economy results, and real earnings that matter over the long term, not some kid analyst who never worked in a real company.

Pompeo and Trump are potentially making a historic and great break through on N Korea, so of course the Dems are trying to stop Pompeo from being Sec of State. The success of a deal with N Korea could be the most important diplomatic development since the end of the cold war.  The Dems and the press all condemned Trump for his policy and his statements on N Korea, but it seems to have worked. The Dems cannot stand it.  The press won’t know what to say if there is a real deal with Kim. The Dems voted for Pompeo for CIA, everyone says he is doing an excellent job, and he is key to the solution of N Korea, so now the Dems and Rand Paul say they suddenly don’t approve of the man???? They are acting despicably. Voting no just emboldens Kim and Iran and Putin.  It is insanity and plain stupid.  And we have not yet had the hearing on the woman to head the CIA who even Brennan says is excellent.  Just imagine what that will be like. If the effort to prevent Pompeo being Sec of State at this critical moment in history proceeds, the Dems will have a hard time explaining it. It shows the disgraceful level they have sunk to, that they would jeopardize peace in Asia, and a critical moment in history, for stupid politics. Since 1920, the opposition party has always agreed the president has a right to who he wants as his cabinet unless there is some glaring reason to stop him.

McCabe is going to be indicted most likely. How can they not when they charged and got plea agreements from others for the same lying. From here the chips will begin to fall once the Horwitz report comes out on May 8. Now the Dems are all attacking each other as Comey continues his bizarre book tour. Polls show most people now do not believe anyone after hearing Comey, since they do not now believe the FBI, and they surely do not believe Trump nor the Dems. Comey has done a great disservice to the FBI and the country, and in the end he might get charged with lying to Congress under oath. Now we add on the insane lawsuit by the Dems against everyone, claiming collusion. We have three Congressional committees, plus the Meuller investigation, and no evidence of collusion, so now they file an absurd lawsuit to supposedly try to prove what real investigators did not find. I do not know whose stupid idea this was, but once Mueller, the Senate committee and Horowitz come out and say there was no collusion, it is hard to understand how the Dems can proceed on this. It is apparently an attempt to  just keep the collusion story in the press and counter the good things like N Korea, and good economic growth, that Trump is doing.

We had two more cops killed. It is now out of control. This is a direct result of the trashing of cops by Obama and Holder. Now thugs think it is fine to shoot cops because cops are “bad” racists. Trump did exactly the right thing when he said the Sacramento shooting was a local matter and he will not comment.

The death of Barbara Bush is the perfect counter point to all the bad crap we see in politics. She was a wonderful, gracious and moral person, who now is lost to the country. Compare her to Nancy Pelosi, Hillary, Maxine Waters, Rachael Madow, and Bashar, and  Coulter and you wonder whatever happened to civility and leadership, and moral compass.

The stress level here in FL has become too much, and I will be heading back to the Hamptons and Manhattan this week. 5 days a week of tennis, two afternoons a week out in the gulf fishing, and a couple of golf lessons, and all this sunshine and warm weather is just too much to take.

2)  Comey memos show Valerie Jarrett's CNN daughter a useful tool for Democrats

The memos are out from former FBI Director James Comey, and one of the big takeaways is how useful a tool Valerie Jarrett's daughter, Laura Jarrett, could be for the Hillary Clinton campaign while she was employed at CNN.

CNN, it seems, helped orchestrate the set-up of President Trump when it pressed the then-FBI director to have a meeting with Trump so that the matter could be leaked and the press would have a credible reason to report as news all the otherwise slimy opposition research contained within the Steele dossier. Up until then, Fusion GPS, the purveyor of the unverified garbage written by its Moscow sources, was having a bad time getting anyone to print it in the press, and had shopped it around for a year, drawing no buyers. The press knew it was unverified garbage and didn't want to wreck its reputation by going there.

But then Comey briefed Trump about the existence of the dossier, and suddenly the matter was leakable. And by an interesting coincidence, it was CNN that did the leak.

That would be the same CNN that hired Valerie Jarrett's daughter, Laura Jarrett, as the Justice Department's correspondent, despite having zero background in journalism. She just waltzed in and got an on-screen, big-dollar job at CNN, same as you or I could do, right? She's still there, by the way.

And by another coincidence, the DoJ of Jarrett's beat oversees the star of this drama, the FBI. 

So CNN with Jarrett on staff pushed Comey to have the meeting with Trump so that the encounter could be leaked and they could succeed as Democratic operatives with bylines to smear President Trump.

Is it any wonder Trump openly calls them 'fake news'?

Coincidence upon coincidence seems to characterize this one. It's a good thing Devin Nunes hasn't retired from Congress. We suspect he's going to have plenty of material anew at the House Intelligence Committee he leads about how the U.S. media has allowed itself to be used as dupes and tools for partisan operations that are ultimately on the puppet strings of Moscow. Democratic operatives with bylines isn't the exaggeration it's been made out to be.
