Way to go, Obama

American citizens residing abroad or visiting foreign countries periodically receive warnings from the State Department about areas we should avoid. Those of us living in Israel are used to being urged to stay away from neighborhoods prone to Palestinian-Arab violence targeting "infidel" Jews and other "undesirables" going about their daily lives.

Of course, the cautionary emails are not worded that specifically. But everyone knows what they mean.
In mid-October, for example -- after stabbing attacks against Israelis had become a daily occurrence -- the U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem advised Americans "to exercise heightened security awareness in east and west Jerusalem, the Old City and the West Bank due to an increase in political violence and unrest that has resulted in multiple deaths and injuries. ... We remind you to be aware of your surroundings at all times, monitor the media, avoid demonstrations and other crowds as events can turn violent without warning, and follow directions of police and other emergency responders."
The message is clear: Since there is nothing we can do to protect you from this angry onslaught that Israel brought on itself by not withdrawing to the 1967 borders and establishing a Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital, take care of yourselves.
Well, on Monday, the administration in Washington expanded the scope of its alert. In a much longer, more detailed "travel alert," the State Department told Americans abroad that they were not safe anywhere "due to increased terrorist threats."

Here is how the government that once was considered a force to be reckoned with told holders of its formerly coveted passport why they should be frightened: "Current information suggests that [Islamic State], al-Qaida, Boko Haram and other terrorist groups continue to plan terrorist attacks in multiple regions. These attacks may employ a wide variety of tactics, using conventional and nonconventional weapons and targeting both official and private interests. This Travel Alert expires on February 24, 2016.

"Authorities believe the likelihood of terror attacks will continue as members of [Islamic State] return from Syria and Iraq. Additionally, there is a continuing threat from unaffiliated persons planning attacks inspired by major terrorist organizations but conducted on an individual basis. Extremists have targeted large sporting events, theatres, open markets and aviation services. In the past year, there have been multiple attacks in France, Nigeria, Denmark, Turkey and Mali. [Islamic State] has claimed responsibility for the bombing of a Russian airliner in Egypt.
"U.S. citizens should exercise vigilance when in public places or using transportation. Be aware of immediate surroundings and avoid large crowds or crowed places. Exercise particular caution during the holiday season and at holiday festivals or events.

"U.S. citizens should: Follow the instructions of local authorities; monitor media and local information sources and factor updated information into personal travel plans and activities; be prepared for additional security screening and unexpected disruptions; stay in touch with your family members and ensure they know how to reach you in the event of an emergency; register in our Smart Traveler Enrollment Program."
As if this weren't sad enough, the memo ends by reassuring Americans: "Foreign governments have taken action to guard against terrorist attacks, and some have made official declarations regarding heightened threat conditions. Authorities continue to conduct raids and disrupt terror plots. We continue to work closely with our allies on the threat from international terrorism. Information is routinely shared between the United States and our key partners in order to disrupt terrorist plotting, identify and take action against potential operatives, and strengthen our defenses against potential threats."
How comforting to know that the Obama administration has our backs by "sharing information" to "disrupt terrorist plotting" to "strengthen our defenses."
Since Barack Obama was elected president seven years ago, the United States has been declining, steadily but surely. Those of us dual citizens who no longer live there are less affected by the deteriorating health, education and welfare suffered by the people who do. But we in Israel and the rest of the West certainly feel the consequences of having a U.S. president whose intention from the get-go was to abdicate to Third World despots. The direct beneficiaries of this policy have been Islamist barbarians who are wreaking havoc everywhere with no end in sight to the mass murder they continue to commit.
It is doubtful that Obama expected his kowtowing to radical Muslims, while abandoning peaceful ones, would lead to a global war that requires both brains and serious brawn to defeat. Like the French -- who were shocked on November 13 to discover that their concern over drinking the right wine in the proper glass had not protected them from the evil taking root right under their noses -- Obama believed that destroying America from within would make him more powerful, not less.

He is Yertle the Turtle on steroids, crashing into the pond, with his head inside his shell, ripe for the picking by the enemy.
A very different sort of Democrat, Harry S. Truman, who took office at the end of World War II, said, "America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand."

Decades later, a cowering America is dispatching memos abroad to instruct citizens to take cover. Way to go, Obama.

World War 3 is here, But It Is Not What You Thought!
The day I managed to get into his mind… And it is EVERYBODY’S business if they reside on Earth.
Every once in a while I go on “mind reading trips” around the world. Not my mind, but the minds of people who have the potential to fundamentally change the world as we know it. Like Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi: what a mind! His is so unusual that it seems like nobody in the world can figure him out. One thing is clear to me: to date, he is the Muslim leader with the greatest vision since Muhammad. Osama Bin Laden had vision too, but his mind was bent on chasing all the Westerners from Muslim land. Pettiness in comparison to Mr. al-Baghdadi.
If you thought establishing  a worldwide caliphate was a big undertaking, then keep reading and find out what he is really up to. If you thought ISIS was a passing phenomenon, think again…
An article in The New York Times states that: “The Islamic State emerged from a group of militants in Iraq to take over large portions of Iraq and Syria, and now threatens other countries in Europe and elsewhere.”
Before I get into the plot, lets look at al-Baghdadi’s background (taken from Wikipedia):
“In 2014, American and Iraqi intelligence analysts said that al-Baghdadi possesses a doctorate in Islamic studies from a university in Baghdad. According to a biography that circulated on jihadist internet forums in July 2013, he obtained a BA, MA and PhD in Islamic studies from the Islamic University of Baghdad. Another report says that he earned a doctorate in education from the University of Baghdad.”
So here is an obvious question: why would al-Baghdadi try to unite the whole world against his Caliphate, even though they are still fighting for their lives in Iraq and Syria? Bombing a Russian jetliner, and executing Japanese and Chinese hostages doesn’t make much strategic or tactical sense, does it?
You may say “he believes Allah will sort it out for him.” I don’t think so. He possesses great imagination, but is very practical. So why is he doing it?
The answer, according to my insight, should put the whole world on high alert. Time is running out to stop this plot, and once it goes beyond a certain point it will become unstoppable.
There are 1.62 billion Muslims in the world. They consist of many diverse branches and it would be impossible to unite them behind the black ISIS flag. But there is another way: al-Baghdadi’s way. You Don’t have to unite the Muslims; instead unite the non-Muslims around the slogan “every terrorist is a Muslim.”
Once this happens, and many of the non-Muslims in terrorized countries turn against the “Muslim terrorists,” Mr al-Baghdadi will have himself an army of a billion plus without having to expend much energy on recruiting. Many of them will turn to the one who can beat the hated Infidels who turned against them just for being Muslims.
Here is another excerpt  from the New York Times: “Nearly 50 Democrats joined the Republicans in America’s House of Representatives to pass a bill that would make it virtually Impossible for Syrian and Iraqi refugees to enter the country…. Barack Obama had made a moral appeal on the refugees’ behalf, which apparently fell on deaf ears within his own party.”
Many of the refugees that ISIS is pushing into Western countries today will join al-Baghdadi’s army as well; it is just a matter of time. This kind of war inevitably renders all of the advanced weaponry those countries posses completely useless. They cannot use it against enemies who reside amongst them. And Because of this grand strategy, Mr al-Baghdadi doesn’t care how many of his soldiers die. Nobody can kill a billion – not in one lifetime. As long as HE survives,  his revolution will be a success.
How can he be stopped? The answer is not a simple one. The train has unfortunately already left the station. There are two obvious solutions:
One: kill Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. I don’t think there are any replacements that can execute his strategy, if anyone else even fully comprehends it.
Two: the world leaders and citizens must realize that when you push people far enough they will push back, and  being ignorant and racist doesn’t solve anything. (e.g. Mr. Trump)
As a side comment, Israel is walking into the same trap, except that there is no Khalif there… For the time being.

Islamic State's structure grows more complex as it strikes the West

The recent attacks in Paris and Beirut and the downing of a Russian airliner in Egypt were the first results of a centrally planned terrorism campaign by a wing of the Islamic State leadership that oversees “external” targets, according to U.S. and European intelligence officials.
The Islamic State’s overseas operations planning cell offers strategic guidance, training and funding for actions aimed at inflicting the maximum possible civilian casualties but leaves the task of picking the time, place and manner of the attacks largely to trusted operatives on the ground, the officials said.
Carrying out attacks far from the Islamic State’s base in Iraq and Syria represents an evolution of the group’s previous model of exhorting followers to take up arms wherever they live — but without significant help from the group. And it upends the view held by the United States and its allies of the Islamic State as a regional threat, with a new assessment that the group poses a whole new sets of risks.
“Once the Islamic State possessed territory that provided them sanctuary and allowed them to act with impunity, they like other jihadist groups inevitably turned to external attacks,” said William Wechsler, a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress and until last January a top counterterrorism official at the Pentagon.
One possible motivation of the change in strategy by the Islamic State, also called ISIS or ISIL, is to seize leadership of the global jihad from al-Qaida — from which the Islamic State broke away in 2013. The attack on the Radisson Blu hotel in Mali on Friday was probably carried out by two al-Qaida-linked groups, suggesting, as one senior European counterterrorism official put it, “The race is on between ISIS and al-Qaida to see who can attack the West the best.”
U.S. and European intelligence officials said they based their new assessment of the external operations structure on intercepted communications, the Islamic State’s own propaganda, and other intelligence.
Investigators are still piecing together details of how the Paris plotters communicated, but two Western counterterrorism officials revealed that there were electronic communications between Islamic State leaders in Syria and Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the man suspected to be the mastermind of the assault, in the weeks before the attacks.
Similar evidence analyzed after the bombings in Beirut, the Lebanese capital, suggests that those strikes were directed from Syria and conducted by operatives on the ground. The downing of the Russian airliner followed a larger Islamic State goal to strike Russian interests but was probably carried out autonomously by the group’s affiliate in Egypt, officials said.
According to U.S. and European officials, the man overseeing the attacks outside Iraq and Syria is Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, a 38-year-old Syrian who is the official spokesman for the Islamic State and one of the most trusted lieutenants of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the group’s supreme leader.
Adnani is best known for a 42-minute audio statement issued on social media in September 2014 in which he called on individual Muslims living in the West to kill civilians in their countries by any means necessary: “If you can, kill a disbelieving American or European — especially the spiteful and filthy French — or an Australian, or a Canadian.”
As a result, Adnani now has a $5 million bounty on his head. “Adnani has been a key figure in external planning since ISIS rose to prominence over a year ago,” said Matthew G. Olsen, a former director of the National Counterterrorism Center.
French intelligence officials believe that Abaaoud, who was killed last week, worked under Adnani in Syria.
According to activists from Aleppo province in Syria, Abaaoud spent time in Azaz, near the Turkish border, in early 2014. Azaz at the time was a kind of foreign jihadist boomtown.
Western officials say the Belgian-born Abaaoud was eventually assigned a bigger role: to organize attack missions in Europe. There, he drew upon a vast network of radicals and extremists long before the Paris strikes.
The Islamic State-operated cells worked in what a Belgian counterintelligence official called a “bamboo” structure — most militant groups have cells intended to operate separately and in parallel to ensure that if one member is killed or a plot is aborted, the demise would not affect other plots.
Rep. Adam Schiff of California, the senior Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said the Islamic State’s main priority for its first year had been to consolidate control over territory in Iraq and Syria, but that the external operations cell had grown in stature, now most likely directing specific plots.
“In the case of Paris,” Schiff said, “we’re still trying to determine the extent of control by the external branch, and how much discretion was given to the operatives in Europe to pick the time, place and manner of attack.”
