Biden-Sharpton would make a great ticket:

Biden Has Privately Told Al Sharpton He’s Running In 2024
(JustPatriots.com)- He’s made no public announcement yet, but President Joe Biden apparently told the Reverend Al Sharpton last month that he plans to run for re-election.
While posing for photos with Sharpton in the Roosevelt Room at the White House back in September, Biden told the reverend that he’s “going to do it again,” referring to another run at the presidency in 2024.
Later that same day, Sharpton relayed the details of that private conversation to staff at his National Action Network located in Washington.
This isn’t altogether surprising news. Many of the president’s allies have already said that Biden would seek re-election, even as he’s completely shied away from making such an unequivocal and public announcement just yet.
One of the main reasons why he hasn’t made that announcement yet, many political pundits have surmised, is so that he won’t trigger reporting laws in regard to campaign finance.
Biden is apparently willing to let some people know of his true intentions, though, which is what he did with Sharpton near the end of a meeting he had with leaders of some of the most prominent civil rights organizations in America.
Back in the 2020 Democratic primary, the key for Biden’s successful comeback was attracting Black voters to his side. After not finishing in first place in either of the first three primaries that were held that year — Iowa, then New Hampshire and then Nevada — he was able to capture the top spot in South Carolina.
Just three days after that victory in South Carolina, Biden then used the overwhelming support he got from Black voters to propel him to what became an insurmountable lead in delegates that he gained on Super Tuesday.
That was the topic of conversation when Biden spoke with Sharpton at the White House back on September 2, confiding in the civil rights leader his intentions for the future.
In doing so, Sharpton reminded the president of the conversation the pair had back in January of 2019. At that time, Biden hadn’t officially announced his candidacy for president yet, but was seeking the endorsement of Sharpton, or at least his pledge that he wouldn’t go against him.
Sharpton’s support was important to Biden, as he was going to be going up against Black candidates such as New Jersey Senator Corey Booker and California Senator Kamala Harris, who now serves as his vice president.
Biden then went back to Sharpton for more advice on running in early 2020, before he threw his hat in the ring. That conversation, Sharpton said, convinced him that he was one of the first people to be brought into the loop that Biden was intending to run for president in 2020.
Near the end of the meeting last month, Biden was posing for photos with Sharpton, and told him that he was right in saying he was one of the first people to know about his presidential bid in 2020.
Then, he turned to him and said he’s going to “do it again,” as Sharpton relayed to his aides.

Israel got nothing in maritime deal but guarantees from the US’
Former US ambassador warns that maritime border deal with Lebanon gives Israel nothing in exchange for concessions except American promises.
By David Rosenberg
Former American ambassador to Israel David Friedman criticized the finalized maritime border deal between Israel and Lebanon, warning that Israeli interests are protected solely by promises issued by the Biden administration.
In a series of tweets Wednesday, Friedman reiterated his criticism of the deal, arguing that the final version of the agreement is still lopsided in favor of Beirut, giving Israel nothing but “a guarantee from the US.”
“Still waiting on details of Israel-Lebanon deal, but one issue looms perhaps the largest: what can Israel do to enforce whatever benefits it is receiving? Lebanon isn’t signing a deal with Israel, and Hezbollah is making no commitments.”
“All Israel is getting is a ‘guarantee’ from the US. What does that say, what is the nature of America’s commitment, and why is that good for Israel or America. Remember, Bush’s letter to Sharon was ripped up by HRC and the Budapest Memorandum was worthless.”
Friedman first came out publicly against the deal last week, saying the new outline for an agreement was inferior to the plan nearly brokered under the Trump administration, and that Israel would get virtually no compensation in return for its concessions.
“We spent years trying to broker a deal between Israel and Lebanon on the disputed maritime gas fields. Got very close with proposed splits of 55-60% for Lebanon and 45-40% for Israel. No one then imagined 100% to Lebanon and 0% to Israel. Would love to understand how we got here.”
“I could be wrong, by I think Israel does get zero. My understanding is that Israel gets royalties only on drilling within its own sovereign territory — that’s beyond the scope of the maritime dispute with Lebanon. As to the disputed territory, I understand Lebanon gets it all.”
On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid announced that Israel has reached an agreement with Lebanon.
“This is an historic achievement that will strengthen Israel’s security, inject billions into Israel’s economy, and ensure the stability of our northern border,” Lapid said.
On Wednesday, Lapid convened the Security Cabinet to discuss the deal, with the full cabinet slated to hold a special meeting on the issue at 1:00 p.m.

Violence erupts in Jerusalem in most violent night in capital in years
Two policemen injured, possibly by pipe bomb • Jerusalem mayor's car pelted with rocks on his way to a Sukkot event in east Jerusalem
Palestinian youth clash with Israeli border police officers in the West Bank city of Hebron.
Two Israeli police officers were injured and nine Palestinians were arrested between Wednesday night and Thursday morning as violence broke out across Jerusalem and parts of the West Bank amid rising tensions surrounding IDF operations in Shuafat and Nablus and a visit by Jews to Joseph's Tomb.
Arab rioters threw Molotov cocktails and rocks and fired fireworks toward Israeli forces throughout east Jerusalem starting early in the evening. Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion's car was also pelted with rocks on his way to a Sukkot event in east Jerusalem.
During riots in the Isawiya neighborhood, two police officers were lightly wounded. Police were investigating if the injuries were caused by a pipe bomb thrown at Israeli forces amid the riots.
Video published by Palestinian media showed rioters firing fireworks towards Israeli forces in multiple neighborhoods in east Jerusalem, including Ras al-Amud and Issawiya. In Silwan, near the Old City, a suspect threw Molotov cocktails at Israeli forces and at a car; the fighters responded by shooting.
Two Israeli officers were lightly injured from an explosive device and were evacuated for medical treatment.
In the Beit Hanina-Neve Ya'akov intersection in Jerusalem and in Abu Tor, Arab rioters threw rocks at Israeli drivers. Riots also broke out in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood overnight after Jewish rioters threw stones at a mosque there, according to Israeli media
An additional video from the riots in east Jerusalem showed fireworks being fired directly at a haredi (ultra-Orthodox man in the city.
In Kalandiya, located north of Jerusalem, armed Palestinian terrorists clashed with Border Police officers, according to Israel Police. No Israelis were injured in the clashes and searches are ongoing for the perpetrators.
Israel Border Police Commander Amir Cohen ordered on Thursday morning for 10 border police reserve companies to go on alert after the recent violent incidences in Jerusalem, Hebrew media reported.
"The men and women of the Border Police will continue to act resolutely against the violence in order to maintain public safety," he said.
Nine Arabs suspected of taking part in the riots had been arrested by Israel Police in Issawiya as of Thursday morning; they were then transferred for questioning.
In the West Bank, Palestinian rioters threw Molotov cocktails and stones at Israeli vehicles near Kedumim, Hebron and Psagot, among other locations.
More arrests
Israeli forces, Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and Border Police arrested four more Palestinians at the Qalandiya refugee camp the same night on suspicion of terrorist involvement.
During the operation, stones were thrown at the forces, who responded to disperse the demonstrations.
IDF soldiers also worked to secure the entry of worshipers into the compound of Joseph's Tomb. Shots were fired at the soldiers but there were no casualties. Another operation was conducted in the Palestinian village of Dheisheh south of Bethlehem, where two were arrested.
Hours later on Thursday morning, a Palestinian threw stones at a bus near Kiryat Arba. IDF soldiers responded by shooting and wounding him in the leg. He was immediately provided medical treatment.
Palestinians prepare for clashes in Nablus
Meanwhile, in the Nablus area, Palestinian terrorists burned tires and were preparing to attack Israeli worshippers set to visit Joseph's Tomb later in the night. Terrorists fired shots at Israeli forces as they entered the area with the worshippers; no injuries were reported throughout the visit.
Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan and rabbi of the Itamar settlement Daniel Lunzer joined the worshippers at Joseph's Tomb.
The Lion's Den terrorist group, which has claimed responsibility for a series of shooting attacks in recent days, called on Palestinians earlier in the day to gather around Joseph's Tomb and light tires on fire.
The Nablus Brigade of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's Al-Quds Brigades stated on Wednesday night that it was declaring "complete readiness" to confront Israeli forces in Nablus.
Earlier on Wednesday, the IDF placed a closure on the turbulent city, limiting entry and exit to only a few roads and imposing security checks following a rise in shooting attacks by the Lions’ Den group.
Additionally, Palestinian media affiliated with Hamas published calls for a Day of Rage to be held on Friday.
Public Security Minister Omer Bar Lev spoke with Israel Police Chief Kobi Shabtai amid the violence on Wednesday night.
"In recent hours, police forces and Border Police have been working to curb riots and disturbances in several locations in east Jerusalem. Israel Police restored order in most of the hotspots, and will continue to operate until calm is achieved," tweeted Bar Lev. "We have no intention of allowing the violence to continue, and we are determined to act harshly against anyone who disrupts the order and endangers public peace and the safety of police officers."
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said at a regional summit in Kazakhstan in regard to the recent violence that he will "examine the continuation of relations with Israel; we will not accept the status quo."
Right-wing leaders call for stronger action against terrorists
"I strengthen the residents of Jerusalem who are facing violent rioters at this difficult time and the men and women of security forces who are fighting them," said Opposition Leader Benjamin Netanyahu in response to the attacks. "This is the result of a weak government on all fronts, from Hezbollah's threats to the neglect of the personal security of Israeli citizens."
Shlomo Ne'eman, head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council and chairman of the Yesha Council, responded to the violence on Wednesday night, saying that, "when we said a week ago that it was time to launch a protective wall operation for Israel, some thought it was a 'settler problem.' Tonight everyone understands and sees how the State of Israel is threatened by murderous Arab terrorism.
"We must go deep, plowing against terrorism. Not to kill mosquitoes, but to dry the swamps," he said. "We are again calling on Defense Minister [Benny] Gantz to wake up and act - strengthen and expand the settlements and embark on an extensive military operation which will end the terrorists' hope and restore peace to the region."
Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked visited the Beit Hanina neighborhood of east Jerusalem on Wednesday night, stressing that it was "a battlefield for all intents and purposes."
"We do not have the privilege of holding back with riots. This is about human life. [Prime Minister Yair] Lapid, Gantz and Omer Bar Lev must wake up," tweeted Shaked. "Heavy-handed treatment is required here - zero patience for terrorists, nullification of citizenship, 10-year prison sentences, curfews, relaxation of open-fire rules and the mobilization of Border Guard reserves."
After visiting Joseph's Tomb on Wednesday night, Dagan welcomed the decision by Gantz and IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi to allow worshippers to visit Joseph's Tomb despite threats from Palestinian terrorist organizations.
"The goal of terrorism is for the State of Israel to be afraid of it and run away, and the only way to defeat terrorism is to fight back, to switch from defense to offense," said Dagan.
The Samaria Regional Council head called on the government to launch "Operation Defensive Shield 2" (a reference to a large operation carried out by the IDF throughout the West Bank in 2002).

John Durham Shows How the FBI Lets Its Informants Mislead It

John Durham Shows How the FBI Lets Its Informants Mislead It
By Thomas J. Baker
The use of confidential informants by law enforcement, although a necessary tool, is always fraught with danger. That is why strict oversight is necessary. In the wake of the Abscam cases of the early 1980s, the FBI and Justice Department rigorously re-examined the FBI’s use and management of informants and established new guidelines. The informant program was essentially owned by the field office’s special agent in charge and administered by a special agent informant coordinator in each office. Levels of review, in the field and then at headquarters, were thus put in place. Occasional missteps still happened; but seldom anything on the scale Mr. Durham is uncovering.
As part of his intelligence-focused centralization, FBI Director Robert Mueller began the “re-engineering” of human sources. By 2007 all previous classifications of human sources—cooperating witness, criminal informant and others—were subsumed into the category of confidential human source, or CHS. A new Directorate of Intelligence at FBI headquarters would manage the program. That made mistakes and abuses harder to catch.
Had the bureau looked more critically at Christopher Steele’s information to begin with, there would have been no investigation of the Trump campaign. Had Mr. Mueller, during his turn as special counsel, examined the source of the allegations, his inquiry would have ended there. According to the grand jury’s indictment of Mr. Danchenko, the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane team realized early on that he was Mr. Steele’s “primary subsource” for the dossier. Although the dossier has long since been discredited, we now know, from a Sept. 13 filing by Mr. Durham, that the FBI made Mr. Danchenko a CHS in March 2017, paid him, and kept him as a CHS until October 2020. Mr. Danchenko is charged with lying to the FBI during an interview about his providing material for Mr. Steele.
As for Mr. Joffe, he turned data from a White House computer server over to a third party, according to a prosecution filing in the Sussmann trial. Mr. Joffe hasn’t been charged with a crime, and the Journal reported earlier this week that prosecutors have told his lawyer they don’t anticipate doing so.
Still, Mr. Durham is making clear that throughout the Russia-collusion probe and Mueller investigation, the FBI committed misfeasance in its management of informants—let’s call them what they are—and malfeasance in the use of the information they provided.
Mr. Baker is a retired FBI special agent and legal attaché and author of “The Fall of the FBI: How a Once Great Agency Became a Threat to Democracy,” forthcoming in December.

Subject: Fwd: Hurricane season with Electric Vehicles...
In addition to all of this, I heard on the news a couple of days ago that the cars in FL that got salt water on the batteries are catching on fire or exploding. Had been 10 already in Naples.
Vern
Something to think about ………...
Imagine Florida with a hurricane coming toward Miami.
The governor orders an evacuation. All cars head north.
They all need to be charged in Jacksonville.
How does that work.? Has anyone thought about this.
If all cars were electric and were caught up in a three-hour traffic jam with dead batteries, then what?
Not to mention that there's virtually no heating or air conditioning in an electric vehicle because of high battery consumption.
If you get stuck on the road all night, no battery, no heating, no windshield wipers, no radio, no GPS (all these drains the batteries), all you can do is try calling 911 to take women and children to safety. But they cannot come to help you because all roads are blocked, and they will probably require all police cars will be electric also. When the roads become unblocked no one can move! Their batteries are dead.
How do you charge the thousands of cars in the traffic jam? Same problem during summer vacation departures with miles of traffic jams. Yes, AAA is starting to prepare tow trucks to charge electric vehicles. How many can they charge before returning to home base and recharge the trucks?
There would be virtually no air conditioning in an electric vehicle.
It would drain the batteries quickly. Where is this electricity going to come from?
Today's grid barely handles users' needs.
Can't use nuclear, natural gas is quickly running out.
Oil fired is out of the question, then where?
What will be done with billions of dead batteries, can’t bury them in the soil, can’t go to landfills.
The cart is way ahead of the horse.
No thought whatsoever to handle any of the problems that batteries can cause.
The press doesn't want to talk or report on any of this.

Pivotal Senate Seats Up For Grabs—America’s Future Hangs in the Balance—Capitalism vs. Communism—Freedom vs. Tyranny—
Giving urban school kids the shaft
Democrats have done a masterful job at convincing liberal voters that the interests of urban children are at the very top of their party’s priority list. Nothing could be further from the truth. Please consider sharing this article with your liberal friends and relatives, for it is their vote that has condemned generations of America’s most vulnerable children to attend some of the sorriest schools in the developed world. - JE
For six decades running, Democrat-run school districts in our biggest cities have knowingly given the educational shaft to generations of America’s most vulnerable kids.
Rank-and-file liberals should drop to their knees and beg God to forgive them for what their vote has done to urban children
Baltimore school student 0.13 GPA.jpg
By John Eidson | Canada Free Press
The conservative meme above arrived in my email inbox yesterday. Ordinarily, I would be suspicious of the claims it makes. But I knew two years ago that the claims are 100% accurate, as reported by Baltimore’s Fox5 News in March 2021.
According to a 2017 investigation by Project Baltimore, 13 of the city’s 39 public high schools had zero students who tested proficient in math. Zero! Of the 3,841 students in the remaining 26 high schools, only 14 tested at or above proficiency in math, less than one-third of one percent.
Baltimore’s obscenely substandard public schools are not alone
Baltimore’s obscenely substandard public schools are not alone in failing on an epic scale to provide even a minimally acceptable education to urban children. Consider these shocking examples:
● In 2010-2011, public schools in the nation’s capitol spent $29,345 per pupil—nearly $600,000 per each classroom of 20 students—yet the District’s 8th graders finished dead last in a nationwide proficiency test in math and reading.
● According to a 2015 report by the National Assessment of Educational Progress, 96 percent of 8th graders in Detroit’s public schools tested not proficient in math, and 93 percent tested not proficient in reading.
For a half-century running, Democrat-run urban schools have robbed minority children of a realistic chance for a good education. In addition to earning an F-minus in their assigned duty to adequately educate students under their care, school districts in America’s biggest cities have something else in common: they all are run by highly-paid Democrat administrators whose foremost priority is catering to the demands of teachers unions, one of the Democratic Party’s most loyal constituencies.
In school systems with teachers unions, Democrats look the other way as the interests of children are subordinated to the interests of teachers. And no wonder. The overwhelming share of union dues paid by teachers is money-laundered straight through to the coffers of the Democratic Party. According to a Brookings Institution study, nearly 99% of teachers union political donations in 2012 went to Democrats. In 2016, teachers unions gave $43 million to Democrats, $260,000 to Republicans.
Since the 1960s, big-city school districts have received astounding sums from the U.S. Department of Education, yet their abysmal results have repeated like a broken record year after year after year. The 2009 stimulus bill signed into law by President Obama allocated $98 billion of additional funding to the DOE, nearly all of which went to the same Democrat-run school systems that fail to adequately educate minority children.
The Democrat answer to that intolerable problem is always more money
Despite that intolerable failure, the Democrat answer to the problem is always more money. But while urban kids looking for a decent chance to learn are getting the educational shaft, school superintendents and legions of other lavishly-paid, off-campus administrators are taking gargantuan bites out of school budgets:
● From 1999-2010, Beverly Hall was superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools, a system that habitually graduated less than half its high school students. Hall’s compensation package included a chauffeured limousine and a salary of $389,000, more than twice the salary received by Georgia’s governor. Atlanta is not alone in that regard—many big-city school superintendents are paid more than their state’s governor. As head of one of the worst performing school districts in American history, the superintendent of Baltimore City Schools is paid $320,000, $50,000 more than Maryland’s governor.
● When federal grants—a.k.a. political slush funds—land in their lap, urban school districts squander much of the money on lavish junkets disguised as “education conferences.” With one of the lowest high school graduation rates in the Atlanta area, the DeKalb County School District blew through a $382,000 grant from President Obama’s 2009 stimulus spending by treating 184 senior administrators to a relaxing four-day stay at a luxury resort hotel & spa in Hollywood, California.
The $64,000 question
So, who’s ultimately responsible for the educational outrages cited above? The answer is easy—the guilty include every rank-and-file liberal who habitually votes Democrat, all of whom have been tricked to believe that the Democratic Party would never in a million years put its own interests ahead of the interests of minority children.
Every one of these rank-and-file liberals should drop to their knees and beg God to forgive them for what their vote has done to generations of black children who want, need, and deserve a realistic shot at a decent education.

A Premeditated Crime Against America’s Most Disadvantaged Children
By John Eidson The Blue State Conservative
Why are America’s prisons filled with so many young black men? Are they inherently bad? Too shiftless to succeed? Too stupid to learn? Actually, none of the above. Most black men who do time were cheated out of a decent education by the inexcusably sorry public schools they had no choice but to attend.
And why do so many young black women fall into the demeaning lifestyle of government dependency? Are they inherently bad, too shiftless to succeed, to stupid to learn? In every case, no. Like their male counterparts, they too were robbed of a decent education by the grossly substandard public schools that failed to give them even a minimally acceptable education.
INFLICTING INCALCULABLE HARM ON GENERATIONS OF URBAN CHILDREN
The harm America’s biggest school systems have inflicted on urban kids who want to learn has gone on for so long that it’s tantamount to a premeditated crime against the most disadvantaged children in our society.
Consider the plight of minority students who have no choice but to attend the horrendous public schools in the nation’s capitol. For the school year 2010-2011, the District of Columbia Public School District spent nearly $600,000 per classroom of 20 students—$29,345 per pupil, to be exact—yet 8th graders in the District finished dead last in a national proficiency test in math and reading. Dead last!
For that school year, DC’s public schools were the uncontested winner in the race to the bottom, with every other urban school district in America breathing a sigh of relief that they were edged out as the worst of the worst. From border to border and coast to coast, inner city children are being robbed of a chance to learn by school systems that give little more than lip service to providing disadvantaged kids with a good education.
SCHOOL CHOICE: A WAY OUT FOR URBAN KIDS WHO WANT TO LEARN
The surest way to ensure that inner city children receive a quality education is through federally-funded school choice vouchers. Established in 2004 as a school choice pilot project by President George W. Bush and a Republican Congress, the DC Opportunity Scholarship Program provided thousands of minority students in the nation’s capitol with $7,500 scholarships.
The program enabled 1,700 black and Hispanic kids from low-income families to get out of DC’s notoriously sorry and unsafe public schools, and into the same kind of safe, high-performing private academies attended by the likes of Chelsea Clinton and the Obama daughters. Although the program was enthusiastically supported by eager-to-learn minority kids and their parents, President Obama and Democrats in Congress terminated it in 2010 at the behest of teachers unions, the Democratic Party’s most loyal constituency.
Sixty years ago, a black baby who would never set foot in a public school was born to a mother who chose to enroll him in top-rated private academies as he grew up. So what impact did private schooling have on his life? He’s done quite well. His name? Barack Hussein Obama, who exercised school choice for his own children, but denied it to disadvantaged children in the nation’s capitol.
President Trump pushed hard for a national, 50-state voucher program for urban kids from low income families, but was obstructed at every turn by the unholy alliance between the Democratic Party and teachers unions. Democrats eagerly subsidize Planned Parenthood so the lives of unborn urban babies can be snuffed out by abortion, yet are fiercely hostile to the idea of providing a first-rate education to disadvantaged minority children whose mother chose to give them a shot at life.
THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS PECKING ORDER
The following quote is attributed to Albert Shanker, former president of the American Federation of Teachers: “When school children start paying union dues, that’s when I’ll start representing children.” Whether Shanker said that is disputed. But even if he didn’t, that’s the attitude teachers unions and Democrats have about where children stand in the public school pecking order.
The mutually back-scratching alliance between Democrats and teachers unions has cynically exploited urban school children for six consecutive decades. The harm they have inflicted on generations of America’s most disadvantaged kids has been so thorough, so devastating that it’s hard to conclude anything other than they couldn’t care less about the fate of the very children for whom they piously profess infinite concern.
Below are links to short videos that will break your heart. The first shows eager-to-learn minority students in the nation’s capitol literally begging President Obama to save their opportunity scholarships; the second shows a bewildered African American mother asking why oh why did the president she’d enthusiastically supported kill her daughter’s school choice scholarship. Who gives a damn about urban school children who want, need, and deserve to learn? Not Democrats or teachers unions.
