I am currently reading a book by Glenn Beck entitled: "The Great Reset: Joe Biden and The Rise Of ..."

I have some reservations about Glenn Beck, the personality, but when it comes to his thinking I find him persuasive.

I am about half way through and his thesis is that elites (The Davos and  Soros Crowd) are in search of a new world order they would control (Beck calls it a new breed of fascism)but knew it would take an existential crisis to give them the impetus they were seeking and then along came COVID.  (Never let a serious crisis go to waste.)

Beck argues COVID is not an existential threat but a fleeting one so this is why "Greta" has given the elites just what they needed.  Climate change is an existential threat that ends the world and allows the elites to carry out changes they seek, ie The Reset. 

The Reset is buttressed by Modern Monetary theorists and allows elites to control the world through a Bit Coin type currency which replaces the dollar as the world's current medium of exchange. Modern Monetary allows for governments to spend whatever they wish, regardless of the relationship of debt to GDP and when inflation is mentioned advocates of MM site Japan where current debt is some 240% of GDP yet, inflation is low and the economy moves right along, albeit at a low growth pace.

Beck believes Americans are opposed to a Reset but are unaware  it has already begun and Obama started the debt clock ticking when, after 2 terms, he increased America's debt more than was created by all prior presidents collectively.

MM Theorists assert inflation can be controlled through focused taxation increases which would, of course, impact the wealth of all individuals subjecting them to greater control by elites in charge of an ever expanding government.

Overturning The 2d Amendment would be difficult if not impossible and thus, Beck asserts, the above is an effective/viable method to accomplish The Reset.

Kremlin Makes Announcement Amid Rumors On Putin’s Health

A top Kremlin official on Monday disputed reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s health is getting progressively worse amid rumors that he may have cancer.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov issued a response to the reports, saying that Putin “makes public appearances on a daily basis.”

“You can see him on TV screens, read, and listen to his speeches. I don’t think that a sane person can suspect any signs of an illness or ailment in this man,” he added. “I’ll leave it on the conscience of those who disseminate such rumors despite daily opportunities for everyone to see how he and others look like.”

Lavrov, who was speaking to a French TV station, did not address claims that Putin is suffering from an undisclosed form of cancer.

Christopher Steele, the former UK spy and reputed author of the infamous and discredited “Steele dossier,” told Sky News earlier this month he believes Putin is “seriously ill” and claimed that factored into the Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine.

Notably, Steele was hired by organizations on behalf of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign to conduct opposition research against then-candidate Donald Trump, creating the dossier accusing Trump of having connections to Moscow. Most of the claims within Steele’s notes have been debunked by U.S. intelligence officials, although those allegations ultimately made it to corporate American news outlets such as MSNBC and the New York Times.

A report from an outlet called New Lines Magzine claimed that it received an audio recording from an unnamed Russian oligarch, who alleged Putin is “very ill with blood cancer.”

And in March, Moscow also denied other rumors—which are largely based on uncorroborated and unnamed sources—about Putin’s health. At the time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the Russian leader said he was in fine condition.

However, a former KGB official, Boris Karpichkov told The Sun tabloid that he suspects Putin, 69, has several ailments, including Parkinson’s and dementia. Karpichkov provided no evidence to the publication, which, along with the Daily Mail and Mirror, often publishes speculative reports about Putin’s health and family members.

This month, Jeffrey Edmonds, the former director for Russia on the National Security Council and a former CIA military analyst, told Business Insider that he is “not seeing anything truly credible” in regards to claims about the Russian president’s allegedly poor health.

Because of Russia’s failure to capture certain parts of Ukraine, Edmonds said that he and other analysts have seen “a definite change” in Putin’s public behavior.

Putin is “normally the voice of calm in Russia but publicly has become more emotional and angry,” he said, adding that the president is  “not comfortable with something.”

REPORT: Supreme Court Prepares To Seize Clerk Phone Records As Part Of Leak Investigation

Supreme Court officials are likely to order law clerks to turn over their cell phones and provide call records as part of their investigation into the leak of a draft opinion set to overturn Roe v. Wade, CNN reported Tuesday.

Officials have zeroed in on the clerks as the likely source of the leak, according to the report, with Chief Justice John Roberts meeting with them as a group shortly after Politico published a draft majority opinion showing the Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Each justice hires four clerks per term, and many court-watchers have speculated that a clerk hired by one of the three liberal justices is the source of the leak. The clerks will also be asked to sign affidavits related to the leak, according to anonymous sources cited by CNN. As a result, some are reportedly considering hiring lawyers to help them navigate the investigation. Marshal of the Supreme Court Gail Curley, a retired Army colonel, is overseeing the probe. She was previously head of the National Security Law Division in the Office of The Judge Advocate General.

Roberts confirmed the authenticity of the draft document shortly after it was published, and Politico later reported that the five justices in the majority are still prepared to overturn Roe v. Wade

After the leak, a left-wing organization published the home addresses of the six Republican-appointed justices, and pro-abortion protesters appeared outside their homes shortly after. Republican Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin requested that Fairfax County police increase their protection of the homes of the three justices who live in the county. Youngkin and Republican Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan urged the Department of Justice to enforce a law prohibiting the intimidation of federal judges and justices.

The leak also spurred Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to hold a second vote on the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would legalize abortion up to the moment of birth and eliminate conscience protections for healthcare providers. Democratic West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin joined all 50 Republicans in voting to sink the legislation.

Ex-Clinton Campaign Lawyer Found Not Guilty in Trump-Russia Trial 

 

A federal jury in the heavily Democratic-leaning DC found Michael Sussmann not guilty of lying to the FBI, saying the prosecutors did not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

According to the New York Post, the verdict took about a day and a half of deliberations.

A juror leaving the courthouse would only say, “The elements weren’t met,” when asked about the verdict by The Post.

“While we are disappointed in the outcome, we respect the jury’s decision and thank them for their service,” special counsel John Durham said in a statement.

Durham sought to prove Sussmann lied to the FBI when he claimed not to be acting on behalf of the Clinton campaign when he met with then-FBI general counsel James Baker in 2016.

During that meeting, he handed over two thumb drives and documents that alleged a secret communications channel between the Trump Organization and Kremlin-linked Alfa-Bank.

Prosecutor Deborah Brittain Shaw said the meeting was part of an effort to launch an “October surprise” on behalf of the Clinton campaign.

“We are here because the FBI is our institution that shouldn’t be used as a political tool for anyone — not Republicans, not Democrats, not anyone,” Shaw said.

Last week marked the conclusion of the annual conference of the World Economic Forum in Davos, an event with particular focus on the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. These goals, collectively known as Agenda 2030, are a set of objectives designed to be a “shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.” The Agenda includes seventeen Goals, like “No Poverty” and “Zero Hunger” – however, underneath the facade of humanitarianism is a malevolent truth: Agenda 2030 is nothing more than an assault on national sovereignty and common people by the power-hungry global aristocracy.

.As you may recall, Klaus Schwab, president of the Forum said, “The pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, reimagine, and reset our world.” Goal 16, Target 8 of the SDGs, is this: “Broaden and strengthen the participation of developing countries in the institutions of global governance [emphasis added]” – enter Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau.

According to Schwab, more than half of Justin Trudeau’s Cabinet are members of the Forum. Just yesterday, Trudeau announced his regime would be implementing a “national freeze” on gun ownership, ultimately capping the amount of legal guns within Canadian borders. From his statement:

What this means is that it will no longer be possible to buy, sell, transfer, or import, handguns, anywhere in Canada. We need less gun violence. We cannot let the guns debate become so polarized, that nothing gets done. We cannot let that happen in our country.

Scottish patriot, Andrew Fletcher, once articulated the zero-sum game of gun confiscation as this, “Arms are the only true badge of liberty. The possession of arms is the distinction of a free man from a slave.”

After decades of gun control measures in the early 20th Century, civilians lacked any meaningful firepower, and eventually, communist Mao Zedong seized political control in the People’s Republic of China. Zedong famously coined the phrase, “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun”, with scholars putting the estimated death toll of Zedong’s victims at around 65 million people.

The most basic understanding of every past, present, or future tyrant, is that the people must be disarmed. When it comes down to it, there’s just one thing standing in the way of The Great Reset and global tyranny – armed citizenries.

The alternative universe of Palestinian ‘sovereignty’

The Palestinians push a false reality that the rest of the world buys into, and then insists Israel buy into it as well.

 

 

(May 30, 2022 / JNS) There are alternative narratives and then there are alternative universes. The first might employ fabricated ideas and “facts,” but the latter is a complete departure from anything like reality.

Welcome to the alternative universe of Palestinian “sovereignty.”

There have been many stories on the recent Jerusalem Day festivities, in particular the unprecedented number of Jews who ascended the Temple Mount and, of course, the annual Flag March, which, despite grave forebodings and threats from the likes of Hamas, took place with a minimum of confrontation and an abundance of joyful celebration.

 

It is no surprise that Palestinian Authority officials were not impressed by the show of support and love for Israel’s sovereignty over Jerusalem. It is extraordinary, however, that they also asserted that the Palestinian people “have proven today that sovereignty in Jerusalem is Palestinian sovereignty despite all the practices of the occupation and the racist settlers.”

What can this possibly mean? Granted, the statement was made by the P.A.’s “governor of Jerusalem,” who has one of the cushiest jobs in the world, given that he doesn’t have to do anything except make non-existent trains run on time. It should be a surprise that he had time to warn against attempts to “Judaize Jerusalem.”

 

Of course, other officials opined in a similar fashion. P.A. Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh provided the memorable insight: “Jerusalem has been and will remain through the years and forever the capital of the state of Palestine” and “attempts to change its features and impose illusory sovereignty on it will not succeed.”

If someone said such things in New York, they would have been straitjacketed and carted off to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital.

Why are these statements important, even a cause for concern, given that they are divorced from reality?

I would suggest that it is precisely because they are so delusional. They serve to open even wider the Pandora’s Box of “whatever I say is real is, in fact, real.”

This is dangerous because the P.A. and Hamas do a masterful job of pushing the narrative that they are a benighted, oppressed people of eternal victims torn from their ancestral roots by heartless “settlers” who make Vladimir Putin look cuddly.

And large swaths of the world, who know nothing other than that the “victims” are always in the right and Jews always up to no good, believe  them.

Left unchallenged and unchecked, a great number of people worldwide could accept the P.A.’s delusional view of the situation as the normative context of the conflict. These people can then influence their own governments to oppose Israel and support various Palestinian governmental entities.

The real concern, then, is that a great many people are unwilling to learn, discern, analyze and evaluate our situation. It is much easier to just believe what the “underdog” has to say.

Realistically, though, what can come of such a delusional mindset?

H.L. Mencken, the cynical 20th century American journalist and commentator, once famously said, “No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people.” I would suggest that no one is about to go broke overestimating the willingness of the Palestinians to depict an alternative universe in which their control of Jerusalem is blocked and thwarted by settler thugs.

We have heard rumors, for example, that the EU plans to construct a contiguous belt of structures that will link eastern Jerusalem (which includes the Old City) with Palestinian-controlled areas. Part of the reason for this is likely that the EU has adopted the Palestinians’ delusional claims. The Europeans believe that they will build on what is already “Palestine”—or, at least, ought to be “Palestine.”

It is difficult for rational people to understand true irrationality, so I suspect that the Israeli leadership laughs off the sheer lunacy of the Palestinian vision. But there is a method to the Palestinians’ madness, which is to formulate a false reality that the rest of the world buys into, and then insists Israel buy into it as well.

 

One of the challenges of true sovereignty is to do whatever it takes in order to protect that sovereignty. Israeli leaders will have to learn how to expose the delusions of the Palestinians and disabuse the world of their fantasies.

We have no choice but to enter their alternative universe and bring it back to reality.

Israel Prepares for Total War in Unprecedented Move

The Israeli Defense Forces are currently involved in the largest military drill in the country’s history, part of which is designed to simulate an airstrike against Iran.

The U.S. is reportedly participating in the exercise with the midair refueling of Israeli fighter jets that would conduct the strike, according to The Times of Israel.

The month-long military drill — involving land, sea and air forces — has been dubbed Chariots of Fire.

Soldiers from every part of the IDF will train together over the next month to increase our defensive readiness and preparedness—on land, in the air, at sea and in cyberspace.

“The IDF will simulate striking targets far from Israel’s borders with a large number of planes,” The Jerusalem Post reported.

While fighter jets are practicing for strikes against Iran, Israeli ground forces will train to secure the nation’s borders against foreign invaders.

On Monday, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz went to observe Chariots of Fire.

He said the IDF is “preparing for various scenarios against our enemies in the various theaters and against Hezbollah and Hamas, which also operates from Lebanon,” The Jerusalem Post reported.

“The combination of training, operational activity and strengthening civil resilience makes up our complete paradigm of protecting the North and the entire State of Israel,” Gantz said.

According to The Times of Israel, U.S. participation in the exercise is intended to underscore the American military’s presence in the region in the context of talks over Iran’s nuclear program.

“The unprecedented Israel-US aerial collaboration in a drill simulating a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities is seen as a potential message to Iran amid long-stalled negotiations in Vienna over a return to the 2015 nuclear deal, a possibility Israel has repeatedly voiced its objection to, warning it would lead to ‘a more violent, more volatile Middle East,'” the news outlet reported.

Gen. Michael Kurilla — head of the U.S. Central Command, which is responsible for operations in the Middle East — arrived in Israel on Tuesday for his first official visit.

Axios reported the “Iran aerial exercise” will take place as part of the fourth week of the drill.

“U.S. air force refueling planes are expected to take part in this part of the exercise, Israel’s Channel 13 reported. Israeli officials confirmed that there will be U.S. participation, but they didn’t give any details. The Pentagon did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the report,” according to Axios.

The news outlet added that both U.S. and Israeli officials are concerned that Iran is continuing to advance its nuclear weapons program as talks have remained paused for over two months.

Gantz was slated to arrive in Washington on Wednesday to speak with White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and on Thursday with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Axios reported.

David Rubin — author of “Trump and the Jews” and the former mayor of Shiloh in the West Bank — gave further background concerning the Chariots of Fire exercises in an email to The Western Journal.

“In addition to the increasingly obvious need for a massive strike on Iran’s nuclear bomb program, which has almost reached breakout capacity, this multi-pronged military exercise is intended to prepare Israel for the rising terrorist threats on all of our borders,”  Rubin said.

“The third threat, which has become more tangible in recent years and has shocked many Israeli Jews with its explosive nature, is within Israeli cities, from the anti-Israel Arabs. The Chariots of Fire drill is intended to confront all three of those threats — Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah on the borders, and the enemy from within.”

Too many years of unfair treatment of conservatives in academia calls for an era of reckoning at universities.

With states like Texas moving to legislate limits on teaching critical race theory to college students — even threatening professors’ tenure — we now see Leftist/“Progressive”/Woke professors crying about cancel culture. Poor darling marshmallows getting roasted? They might actually lose their tenure if they continue shoving poppycock, drivel, and balderdash down their gullible students’ throats.

With kids or their parents borrowing $60,000 a year for a post-high school education, college students ought to learn something useful — and true. As Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick tweeted, “I will not stand by and let looney Marxist UT [University of Texas] professors poison the minds of young students with Critical Race Theory. We banned it in publicly funded K-12 and we will ban it in publicly funded higher ed.”

Let it be understood: Each and every Leftist Woke perversion of Truth, Justice, and the American Way will fall back on them twice as hard sooner or later. To help Obama, Harry Reid’s Democrats changed the filibuster rules for approving executive-post appointments and federal judges below the SCOTUS level, and that corruption of the long-accepted rules opened floodgates for President Trump to get his judicial nominations and his executive appointments through the Rabid Resistance. If the Woke ever actually succeed in packing the Supreme Court with six more justices, increasing the seats from nine to 15, the GOP will increase it to 25 when they come in.

The anger and resolve that the Squad and the Woke Left have burnished into the conservative consciousness have changed many in the GOP. Republicans number fewer RINOs than ever, and those hold much less sway. Just ruminate over the recent Pennsylvania GOP Senate primary. All three main candidates vied for the Trump endorsement and identified as (ultra?) MAGA. By contrast, outgoing Republican Pat Toomey voted to convict Trump at the second annual Pelosi Christmas Impeachment Festival. Republicans are livid because Democrats overreached and sledgehammered rules of comity. The growing sense among conservatives is that, if it ain’t fixed, let it stay broke for a while.

It all will come back to bite the Left. They threw Marjorie Taylor Greene off committees? When the shoes change feet, expect Ilhan Omar to be dumped from the House Foreign Affairs Committee, allowing her more time to engage in her other affairs while on the taxpayer dime: marry a brother or two, pass some campaign millions to some guy in the bedroom without either letting their spouses know.

Democrats investigate? Republicans will find there is plenty to investigate when they take back the House:

Beyond that, the Marshmallow Snowflakes will experience payback in other ways. Conservatives never believed in cancel culture. If Whoopi Goldberg says the Holocaust was not about race, conservatives don’t want her fired from the View. Rather, we prefer ABC keep her on air so that Independents can see for themselves that the Left’s icons are fools. But too many years of cancel culture against conservatives in academia does call for an era of reckoning at the universities.

American taxpayers fork over $40 billion a year while promoting Leftist censorship of free ideas. The present McCarthyite dominance of the Left in academia forces conservatives into silence while Marxists and other Woke “progressives” propagate profoundly false ideas as “Significant Truths.” Critical race theory is sociological poison built on lies. The 1619 Project is history built on lies. Woke math is numerology built on lies. These lies should not be tolerated in lieu of government-sponsored education.

Tenure needs to be reexamined anyway. Although the concept dates to the 17th century, its current iteration is traceable to the American Association of University Professors 1940 Statement of Principles on Academic Freedom and Tenure. Its premise was that closed-minded extremists threatened unrestrained freedom to search for truth, for example by endangering the continued employ of Marx and Stalin sympathizers. In the abstract, even communists should be free to explore and research, to theorize and advocate. It is core to the American Principle that real truth always will win in the free marketplace of ideas. Under fair rules of intellectual engagement, any long-term debate between communism and freedom, leftist suppression and normative free speech will result in copacetic conclusions.

But campuses corrupted the underlying rules of intellectual engagement. Research today is not unbiased but deeply prejudiced. The scientific method is replaced by grant writing: “Confer on me this multi-million-dollar grant, and here is the satisfactory government-approved woke-‘progressive’ result at which my research will arrive.” Science is turned on its head. “By how many degrees will the Earth’s temperature increase in the next century? Show me the money, and I will create the model to validate the number you want.” Climate scientists who promise the right findings get the government grants. Those who make no promises get no grants or reduced amounts — unless they ultimately reach the correct findings. Without grants, they cannot fund their research students’ fellowships or their own explorations. They sell out. We get stuck with Greta Thunberg.

This is how science operates in academia. Do not believe that “the science is settled.” That was nonsense proffered by an Al Gore who got a D in his “natural science” college course. (D is a grade the Ivy League typically uses on its grading curves to reduce outright failures.) His ultimate Inconvenient Truth is that, with each year’s passage, his predictions and movies become increasingly laughable and wrong predictions increasingly manifest. Once revered as “climate science” at its Earth-saving finest, his works increasingly vie in a new science category, instead competing with Ed Wood’s Plan 9 from Outer Space. In a decade, he will have to make room for Ocasio and her assurance that it all ends in 2031.

Professors who publish conservative ideas are denied tenure in the social sciences: political science, sociology, education, history, religion. Mediocrities who do publish woke and other “progressive” balderdash glide into tenure. Once they receive tenure, they cannot be fired except for moral turpitude, so they become physically lazy, intellectually slothful, and even more tyrannically opposed to conservative disagreement. Their classrooms become reeducation inculcation centers where students perceive their grades are directly proportional to spitting back received truth. If the professor advocates socialism, then the student who advocates socialism in the course of final-exam essays gets an A. If he or she instead defends capitalism, the grade is C. It is that simple.

The impact on stultified thinking becomes clear in short order. The same university that once produced Alexander Graham Bell, 1979 Nobel Physics Laureate Sheldon Glashow, 1998 Nobel Physics Laureate Daniel Tsui, 2008 Nobel Chemistry Laureate Osamu Shimomura, actors Faye Dunaway, Jason Alexander, Marisa Tomei, and that boasted faculty including U.S. Poet Laureates Robert Pinsky and Robert Lowell, and Nobel Laureates Saul Bellow, Elie Wiesel, and Derek Walcott suddenly finds itself graduating the likes of Ocasio. Same school. Same buildings. Same ZIP code. Yet yesterday’s Nobel genius becomes today’s model spouting nonsense like this: 

The end of the child tax credit is the direct reason that people are thrown off subway platforms in New York or stabbed in the chest at boutique furniture stores in Los Angeles.

The 22nd Amendment, passed in 1947 and ratified in 1951, was aimed at stopping Franklin Roosevelt, who died in 1945, from seeking reelection in 1952.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is identical to German Nazism, and U.S. food, drink, and warmth shelters for undocumented immigrants at the border are indistinguishable from Dachau and Auschwitz.

The world will end in 2031, nine years hence.

Democracy in America will end 10 years hence, in 2032.

The only reason you would challenge any of the above is that you want to date Ocasio.

The contemporary practice of faculty tenure promotes not job security but intellectual sloth. They have no hunger in the belly. They merely recycle staid syllabi with obsolete indefensible ideas that have been proven wrong time and again. They are not compelled to explain why, for example, this time state socialism will work.

More power indeed to the state governments that roll back academic tenure. It has outlived its purpose. Our society will benefit when more vacancies are posted and competition resumes for academic professorships. The Left wants to impose term limits on Supreme Court justices? Let us begin by imposing term limits on tenured professors, and let them compete for their old jobs, just as adjunct professors do every term. If they are good, they should have all the advantages: experience, quality publications, students’ approbations, and encomia. 

And if not, let the dead wood be recycled.
