Let's applaud Hamas' exploitation of their youth. May Allah bless them for their dedication to hatred and cowardliness. They are busy preparing their youth to take over the world and return us to darkness. (See 1 and 1a below.)
Which leads me to one other thought - why are democracies so pusillanimous when confronted by tyrants? Frankly, I have no explanation but offer these thought.
By definition, those who live in democracies enjoy freedom and other luxuries and are not driven by more negative behavioral patterns. Therefore, they are slow to react to challenges from those who are ruled by dictators and other assorted tyrants. Consequently, they do not initially comprehend evil when confronted. Their first reaction is denial. They believe in rational thinking and are prone to try compromise and pacification. They obviously believe feeding bullies sates because, by their standards, they think aggressors can be made to become trustworthy? Call it the Chamberlain syndrome.
In the case of Trump he is a realist, knows an enemy when he sees one, initially tends to bluster but responds with extraordinary restraint mixed with toughness.
Also, it must be understood those who live in democracies must be motivated to respond and this takes leadership, time and depends upon the circumstance. Not all threats take the immediacy of Pearl Harbor and/or 9/11. Most build over time like a slower growing cancer.
Israel knows Iran is arming Hamas and Hezbollah with the future intent of attacking the nation.
Iran wants nuclear capabilities not for electrical uses but for regional domination. Trump understands this, Obama was naive and thought he could buy them off until regime change occurred.
China's Communist Leadership believes it is in their destiny to supplant American dominance etc. Doofus' reaction mimic's Obama's. (See 2 below.)
Germany has become weakened internally by Merkel's arrogance and is increasingly dependent upon Russian energy sources.
As for America, if we continue along the path Radical Democrats have set for us we too will eventually place ourselves in a tenuous predicament. ( See 3 and again see 1a below.)
Weakness in combination with today's weaponry, at the disposal of tyrannical nations, leaves little time for reaction. I believe there is a direct connection between weakness and the speed with which it invites challenge. (See 4 below.)

A Palestinian journalist has described in detail how Hamas operatives take children in buses to protest against Israel on the Gaza border.
In a new documentary released by TPS, the journalist, whose face is blurred and his voice distorted for security reasons, says he has witnessed Hamas operatives taking chairs and sitting nearby the fence eating seeds and watching people die.
“They bring children to the playgrounds and let them play and then encourage them to do whatever they can to get close to the fence,” the journalist told TPS.
The documentary focuses on the March of Return riots, which started in March of last year. Some 2,200 terror-related incidents have been reported since the start of the riots - a combination of gunfire, explosive device and molotov cocktail attacks.
One IDF soldier has been killed and several more wounded. By Palestinian estimates, more than 200 people have been killed, including children.
“The goal is to bias the general public opinion because the general public opinion is that the kids are safe,” the journalist told TPS. “They [Hamas] exploit this to claim that Israel is killing our children.”

2) Xi Changed My Mind About Trump
The president defends not only U.S. sovereignty but the entire world order.

At first I had no idea why President Trump talked so much about sovereignty. I’ve changed my mind. To be more precise, Xi Jinping changed it. Mr. Trump is the only thing that stands between us and a world dominated by China.
“We do not expect diverse countries to share the same cultures, traditions, or even systems of government,” Mr. Trump told the United Nations General Assembly in September 2017. “But we do expect all nations to uphold these two core sovereign duties: to respect the interests of their own people and the rights of every other sovereign nation.”
Mr. Trump mentioned sovereignty 21 times in that speech. Why? Everyone knew America was a sovereign state, one of nearly 200 in the world. The idea of sovereignty has been firmly established for more than three centuries. Mr. Trump’s defense of it seemed unnecessary.
Yet for more than a decade, President Xi has been dropping audacious hints that China is the world’s only sovereign state. As a result, I have come to believe that Mr. Trump’s defense of sovereignty is essential to maintaining international peace and stability.
The world is full of “experts” who will tell you China and the U.S. are locked in a contest for dominance. Technically, that’s true. The idea that the two nations are struggling for control, however, falsely implies that America is jealously guarding its position atop the international system. That’s Beijing’s narrative. Chinese leaders disparage the U.S. by implying it is in terminal decline and accusing it of attempting to prevent China’s legitimate rise.
In reality, America is preserving more than its role in the international system. It is trying to preserve the system itself—which Mr. Xi is working to overthrow by promoting imperial-era Chinese concepts.
The idea that underpinned the imperial tributary system was that states near and far were obligated to acknowledge Chinese rule. Chinese emperors claimed they had the Mandate of Heaven over tianxia, or “All Under Heaven.”
China repudiated tianxia in the first half of the 20th century and played it down in the second half. But in the 21st century it is making a comeback. “Tianxia is a long Chinese political tradition of practice and ideal that is being revitalized and re-energized in today’s People’s Republic,” Fei-Ling Wang, author of “The China Order: Centralia, World Empire and the Nature of Chinese Power,” told me last week. “The Chinese dream of tianxia, or the China Order, assumes a hierarchical world empire system.”
Mr. Xi’s signature concept is the “Chinese Dream,” or “the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.” “Rejuvenation” evokes restoration of the imperial system, and echoes of tianxia could be heard in the slogan for the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, which Mr. Xi managed as a member of the Communist Party’s Politburo Standing Committee. “One World, One Dream,” at least to scholars employed by the party to study the application of tianxia, equates Chinese dreams with dreams for the world.
Since the Olympics, Mr. Xi has used more direct tianxia language. “The Chinese have always held that the world is united and all under heaven are one family,” he declared in his 2017 New Year’s Message.
He made sure his revolutionary message was understood by having Foreign Minister Wang Yi explain it in Study Times, the influential Central Party School newspaper, in September 2017. “Xi Jinping thought on diplomacy,” Mr. Wang wrote, “has made innovations on and transcended the traditional Western theories of international relations for the past 300 years.” A “thought” in party lingo is an important body of ideology, such as “Mao Zedong Thought.”
Mr. Wang is almost certainly referring to the 1648 Treaty of Westphalia, which established the current international order by recognizing states as sovereign. When he says “transcended,” he hints that Mr. Xi aspires to a world without sovereign states—in other words, a unified world ruled by the Chinese.
As the Hudson Institute’s Charles Horner told me by email last week, many world leaders are nationalistic, but Mr. Xi is the only one whose “officially propounded nationalism takes the form of a global imperial vision.” That is consistent with his lawless behavior: treating neighbors as vassals, taking territory, closing off the global commons and intimidating leaders around the world.
“Tianxia,” Fei-Ling Wang notes, “inevitably and even necessarily makes the People’s Republic view and treat its neighbors and eventually all other states as essentially nonequals and lesser entities, to be influenced, controlled and subjugated with force, money, favor, ruse and fear.”
China is not, as some believe, a “trivial state” that seeks nothing more than to preserve its regime and defend its territory. With Mr. Xi pursuing tianxia ambitions, the world could use more of Mr. Trump’s defense of sovereignty, and even a little more “America First.” These concepts are not, as I once thought, unnecessarily provocative. They are a necessary defense of the centuries-old international order against an existential threat.

3) Understanding Why 'The Squad' Screams 'Racism'
Unfortunately, the U.S. House of Representatives is starting to look more and more like America's universities.
Freshmen show up not to learn but to teach. They think they already know it all and see their personal mission is to set straight the faculty, the university administrators and the world.
So we see it with "The Squad," the now-famous far-left freshmen four in the House — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley — who believe they have been elected to a first term in Congress to reinvent what they think is a failed America and set straight the leadership of their party and the nation.
Fortunately, most Americans do not share this highly vocal four's negativism about America. In a new Gallup poll, 70 percent agreed with the statement "If you work hard and play by the rules, you will be able to achieve the American dream in your lifetime." Even a significant majority — 61 percent — of households earning less than $40,000 agreed.
It goes without saying that immigration is a high-priority issue on the national agenda because millions from around the world want to come here. There is no more sought-out destination than the USA, and the reason is that no nation in the world offers more opportunity.
So why is this dubious group of naysayers commanding such attention?
The first rule on the list of Rules for Radicals, authored by famed left-wing community organizer Saul Alinsky, is "Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have."
Our age of technology and social media adds immeasurable power to Alinsky's advice to gain attention way beyond the support you actually have.
Another Alinsky rule, "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon," provides the ammunition.
These four young freshmen Democrats have no interest in a public discourse of deliberation where we soberly seek what is true and what really works. Their only interest is selling their dogma.
So, following the advice of Alinsky, they get attention not by developing quality ideas for public policy reform and engaging in thoughtful discourse about these ideas but through sensational hype of dogma and character assassination of those who disagree.
As a result, the discussion is not about the merits of the socialism they are selling, about their big-government answers to health, housing, education and lifting up the poor, but about answering their charges that anyone who does not agree with them is a racist.
Attacking the messenger, rather than discussing the message, is a well-established tactic of those whose aspiration is political power rather than seeking truth.
Demagoguery is an age-old threat to freedom and the democratic process. There will always be those who long for power and will try to get it with heat rather than light.
There is only one weapon I am aware of to fight this. And that is doing the hard work to inform people and get the truth to them.
The opposition to socialism, support for freedom, is not about being racist.
It's about believing in human potential, the uniqueness of every single person, and that no system serves human potential better than freedom.
This is not dogma. There's tons of research and data that supports this conclusion.
And it is this that has made and makes the USA so great.
The task is particularly formidable among our youth, where so many have abandoned traditional faith, and among our poor, where the harshness of life increases susceptibility to political demagoguery.
It is no contradiction to say our country and its tradition of freedom is what makes us great but to also be open and honest about how we have problems.
Most of these problems — fiscal problems and social problems — are manifest in areas where we have departed from our tradition of freedom and allowed big-government answers into our lives.
Don't agree? This is the discussion we will have in 2020.
