Red Meat To A Carnivorous Crowd Of Southerners. Whose The Demagogue?

I watched Trump's Nashville rally tonight and he served campaign red meat to a carnivorous crowd of Southerners.  One could assert Trump's speech was demagogic but, and maybe I am wrong, if you are pro American then why is that demagogic? I see nothing wrong with a president believing America should be first.  What is a president supposed to strive for, America being 2d or third or even lower?

When it comes to specific issues I see nothing wrong in trying to lower taxes, rebuild the military, quit sending money to the U.N which supports anti-Semitism and holds one of our strongest allies continuously  in contempt, ridding the government of waste, cutting regulations which cause our corporations to become out priced forcing them to leave our nation and relocate.

Nor do I find anything wrong with a president who demands our allies pay their own bar bills, restores choice people once had when it comes to their own health care and, at the very least, being able to keep their own doctors, believes we have a moral obligation to take care of veterans and seeks legislation which allows children and their parents to have and select the best public education attainable.

I could go on and cite other populist issues that relate to making America safer, greater, stronger again.

Nor have I mentioned the issue of a president who seeks to make commercial treaties more favorable and better balanced.

Seems to me those who hate Trump do so because they are allowing their feelings about his quirky personality and, at times, his gross campaign style to blind them to the thrust of his policies.

I submit, Obama did more to turn American against American, to create a racial divide. Far too many of his speeches were snide and demagogic.  He put down Americans, he demeaned their accomplishments, he attacked and pre-judged law enforcement, he even went to a foreign nation and apologized to the world about America's alleged sins.  I find these repulsive acts on behalf of a president and far more dangerous and despicable than any one can infer from Trump's "Make America Great Again," not that he single handily can.  Much has been attributed to Trump, based on hatred of the man. Much of what he says has been stretched by the Trump haters beyond any rational logic or interpretation.

I do not go along with everything Trump says or does but when it comes to his brand of populism, as long as it is espoused on behalf of the betterment of our nation and for the benefit of its citizens, I find it acceptable and preferable to what spewed too frequently from the lips of Obama.

Whether he can drain the swamp remains to be seen but I am delighted he is willing to take a stab at them 'gators.' (See 1 below.)

"US" by Paul Genova

I haven't said too much about this election since the start….but this is how I feel.

I'm noticing that a lot of you aren't graciously accepting the fact that your candidate lost. In fact you seem to be posting even more hateful things about those of us who voted for Trump.

Some of you are apparently "triggered" because you are posting how "sick" you feel about the results.

How did this happen you ask? Well here is how it happened!

You created "us" when you attacked our freedom of speech.

You created "us" when you attacked our right to bear arms.

You created "us" when you attacked our Christian beliefs.

You created "us" when you constantly referred to us as racists.

You created "us" when you constantly called us xenophobic.

You created "us" when you told us to get on board or get   out of  the way.

You created "us" when you attacked our flag.

You created "us" when you took God out of our schools.

You created "us" when you confused women's rights with feminism.

You created "us" when you began to emasculate men.

You created "us" when you decided to make our children soft.
You created "us" when you decided to vote for progressive ideals.

You created "us" when you attacked our way of life.

You created "us" when you decided to let our government get out of control.

You created "us" the silent majority.

You created "us" when you began murdering innocent law enforcement officers.

You created "us" when you lied and said we could keep our insurance plans and our doctors.

You created "us" when you allowed our jobs to continue to leave our country.

You created "us" when you took a knee, or stayed seated or didn't remove your hat during our National Anthem.

You created "us" when you forced us to buy health care and then financially penalized us for not participating.

And, we became fed up and we pushed back and spoke up.

And we did it with ballots, not bullets.
      With ballots, not riots.
      With ballots, not looting.
      With ballots, not blocking traffic.
With  ballots, not fires, except the one you started inside of "us"

"YOU" created "US".

It's just that simple.
