America will never win another war until politicians get out of the way and allow the military to accomplish what they have been sent to do and by who? The politicians, who lose and/or give away what the military win. http://youtu.be/7hqYGHZCJwk

SCA applications keep growing: "Good evening to all,
I'd like to thank Ms. Diaz, again, for all her work in running a smooth lottery. I remind everyone that the real work for Ms. Diaz and the lottery team starts now, as registrations must be vetted, the actual draw must account for sibling/employee deference, and full registrations must be collected for enrollment.
There is still a little more than an hour to register for the lottery, but here is our current lottery breakdown: 1,170 registrations for 74 openings. If all students in the lottery were chosen and accepted, we could enroll enough students to fill more than three full Savannah Classical Academies! -- That's after running exactly one one-quarter-page ad in the newspaper. That was the extent of our advertizing. The word is spreading rapidly, nonetheless.
It is also worth noting the timeline of the lottery to show how important the first two weeks are, including the Savannah Mall Expo and our Open House. Keep in mind
- Before the school opened, fewer than 162 students enrolled in the first lottery
- Midway through our first year (at Scott) 434 students registered.
- At this point last year, 731 students were in the lottery.
- With this year's 1,170 student total, we now have seen lottery growth of 60% or more for three straight years. -- 1,800 registrations next year? Ben Payne Headmaster "

- My candidate for Sheriff is John Wilcher and yesterday I received a campaign post card which I have been expecting. John pointed out the current Sheriff is not a local land owner and pays no real estate taxes in Chatham county yet owns two homes, one of which is in Florida and in his wife's name, yet, earns his living from Savannah tax payers.
The current sheriff is qualified but , in the event of a likely run off, John Wilcher, I am told by those in the know about local politics, is more likely to win and we need a strong fourth leg in the political stool. We have a good mayor, police chief and district attorney. Now we need the best sheriff and Wilcher, in my opinion and those whose political views I trust, , fills the bill.

On another front, what I know about politics you can stick in a thimble. Trump does not project my idea of a presidential profile but if the Republican Establishment believes they do, they have something else coming, otherwise Trump would never be succeeding.People are fed with with what they have.
The Establishment have folded when it comes to pressing a conservative philosophy as relates to spending, to proposing legislation even if doomed. In essence, they are perceived as giving up without a fight, of political accommodation and of allowing Democrats to build effective and winning coalitions while Republicans learn to lick their wounds and offer excuses.
No wonder The Tea Party have gained ground, no wonder The Chamber of Commerce has taken the party into the wilderness and no wonder a schism has been allowed to occur.
If The Establishment is perceived as coming together to defeat Trump they will accomplish what they fear and claim. They will be the ones to wreck the Party by arguing Trump is not a true Conservative as if they are.
As I have said before, when Truman became president those who voted for FDR believed our nation was doomed and we might even lose the war. Truman turned out to be a great president because of the strength of his personal character, because he was a student of history and because he had cut his teeth on the rough and tumble politics as a member of of the Missouri Tom Pendergast Clan.
Trump may not have the political history of Truman but he possesses other attributes and could prove to have what the times call for - time will tell.
If Establishment Republicans want to see Hillarious and Bernie elected then they should continue doing everything they can to defeat Trump with the consequence at least a third of their prospective voters will sit on their hands as they did with Romney.
Trump has run a very clever and effective campaign. He has allowed the media and news folks to pay for it, he has touched the raw nerves of the angry and disaffected and has revealed he can win against all odds and attract even those who do not embrace his values and views. He has stood up for what he either believes and/or understands is campaign effective.
As I have said, I will vote for the devil before I will vote for Hillarious and Bernie because I do not want to start the next presidency with a liar or turn America into a Denmark. I will go with an unknown Capitalist who is shrewd and understands Obama has been a disaster as opposed to Hillarious who is modeling herself after Obama and Bernie who is an economic buffoon.
Those who are in love with Bernie are going to find out their votes were stolen and never counted because Hillarious had the election sewn up because the super delegates will carry the day for her.
Only the law and The FBI can stop her. That is not what I want to rely upon for our next president.

1)"A law can be both economic folly and constitutional," Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, pictured here at a Heritage Foundation event in October 2015, once said. (Photo: Jeff Malet for The Daily Signal)
Justice Antonin Scalia, who died Saturday during his 29th year on the Supreme Court, was known for a sharp wit as well as a brilliant legal mind, and he expressed both with his tongue as well as his pen.
Here is just a sample:
1. “What is a moderate interpretation of the text? Halfway between what it really means and what you’d like it to mean?” (Remarks at Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Washington, D.C., 2005.)
2. “There is nothing new in the realization that the Constitution sometimes insulates the criminality of a few in order to protect the privacy of us all.” (Majority opinion, Arizona v. Hicks, 1987.)
3. “God assumed from the beginning that the wise of the world would view Christians as fools … and he has not been disappointed. … If I have brought any message today, it is this: Have the courage to have your wisdom regarded as stupidity. Be fools for Christ. And have the courage to suffer the contempt of the sophisticated world.” (Speech at Living the Catholic Faith conference, 2012.)
4. “If you think aficionados of a living Constitution want to bring you flexibility, think again. You think the death penalty is a good idea? Persuade your fellow citizens to adopt it. You want a right to abortion? Persuade your fellow citizens and enact it. That’s flexibility.” (Speech, Wilson Center, 2005.)
5. “The purpose of the Federalist Society was to bring together young people who had this skepticism about what they were being taught and to let them know that there were others who shared this skepticism.” (Remarks, Federalist Society’s 20th anniversary gala, 2002.)
6. “A law can be both economic folly and constitutional.” (Concurring opinion, CTS Corp. v. Dynamics Corp of America, 1987.)
7. “If we’re picking people to draw out of their own conscience and experience a ‘new’ Constitution, we should not look principally for good lawyers. We should look to people who agree with us. When we are in that mode, you realize we have rendered the Constitution useless.” (Speech, Wilson Center, 2005.)
8. “It is one of the unhappy incidents of the federal system that a self-righteous Supreme Court, acting on its members’ personal view of what would make a ‘more perfect Union’ (a criterion only slightly more restrictive than a ‘more perfect world’) can impose its own favored social and economic dispositions nationwide.” (Dissent, United States v. Virginia, 1996.)
9. “Bear in mind that brains and learning, like muscle and physical skill, are articles of commerce. They are bought and sold. You can hire them by the year or by the hour. The only thing in the world not for sale is character.” (Commencement address, College of William and Mary, 1996.)
