In a few days I will be going away three times.  One, to close on the sale of a loft we own in Atlanta. 

Second to join four families from our Atlanta days to join them for our 25th year at Litchfield Beach for a week vacation.

Finally, after a few days upon our return, we leave for a very extensive coast to coast road trip in order to be in California for the PHD graduation ceremony of our grand daughter in law.

Therefore, I truly will not be writing and sending any memos.

You are on your own and I remind those who read them, when I leave for any extensive time, strange things have been known to happen, ie. wars begin and end, presidents are attacked or fall seriously ill, markets collapse etc.

Our trip will take us along the southern drive initially - Mobile, New Orleans, many cities in Texas, then through Arizona and finally to Los Angeles.  We will be seeing several friends and visiting many art museums along the way.

Our return will take us to Las Vegas, Santa Fe (more art galleries) and Oklahoma (more Western Art Museums) and then home by way of Memphis and Birmingham.

We invited our traveling companions, Charlie and Susana Bourland to join us for any portion of the trip, but they demurred.

Tomorrow very dear friends and fellow memo readers are finally visiting us from Atlanta with one of their daughters who will be joined by her fiance.  We are very much looking forward to the opportunity of showing them Savannah.

I should be back at my memo post in early August after a visit from our youngest daughter, only son and their respective families including our three youngest grand children and Lynn's brother and his wife. This will be our 38th consecutive year of spending a week at Tybee, This was something my in laws began to keep the family in touch and we have carried on the tradition.
